The Pokémon GO Community Day in May 2023 is known. The fire Pokémon Fynx is the focus of the event and brings some bonuses. All information at a glance.
This is the event: The Community Day takes place monthly and always highlights a specific Pokémon. This Pokémon appears everywhere in the wild and can also be caught with an increased shiny chance.
What is the event Pokémon? The Community Day in May 2023 features Fynx, the fire starter Pokémon from the games “Pokémon X” and “Pokémon Y”. It evolves into Rutena and Fennexis.
When does the Community Day with Fynx take place? The event takes place on Sunday, May 21, 2023, from 14:00 to 17:00 local time.

Can Fynx be shiny? Yes, you will also encounter Fynx in its shiny variant on the Community Day. The shiny rate is increased, so you have a good chance for the creature.

Other bonuses on Community Day: The event also offers the following bonuses:
- The special charged attack “Lohekanonade” when you evolve Rutena into Fennexis (During the event and for up to five hours afterward)
- Fennexis can also learn the charged attack “Magieflamme” from the start of the event
- Triple catch Stardust
- Double catch candies
- Twice the chance of XL candies when catching Pokémon (from Trainer level 31)
- Smoke and lures last three hours during the event
- Snapshot surprises
- Trading only costs half the Stardust during the event
- One additional special trade
What else happens on Community Day? As soon as the event ends, special level 4 raids will start, which can only be completed on-site. You will encounter Rutena there.
If you defeat it, additional Fynx will appear around the gym for 30 minutes. They bring the same shiny chance as the wild Fynx from the Community Day. These raids will be available from 17:00 to 22:00.
Additionally, field research around Fynx, a special research in the shop for one euro, and stickers will be available on Community Day.
