The next Community Day in Pokémon GO has been officially announced. When it starts and what bonuses are available, you can find out here.
When is the Community Day in March? The Community Day in March takes place on March 15, 2020, from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM in the Northern Hemisphere and from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM in the Southern Hemisphere. This also confirms leaks that had suggested this date.
This is the event Pokémon in March: The Community Day Pokémon is Abra. The Psychic Pokémon can evolve into Kadabra and Alakazam and is supposed to learn a “previously unavailable move”.
What’s particularly interesting is that you can evolve Kadabra into Alakazam using the trading feature. This means: You can save a lot of candies and secure the final evolution much cheaper. This could result in many Alakazams on your Pokémon bank for the Abra Community Day.

What else to expect on Community Day: In addition to the shiny form of Abra and an exclusive move, trainers can look forward to more bonuses. During the event, you will receive:
- Triple XP for catching Pokémon
- Three-hour Lures
So the event will be great for Pokémon collecting. Additionally, a lot of events will take place in March – such as the special raid weekends. In line with the Community Day, you can secure Giratina in its altered form with a chance for a shiny version.
Furthermore, according to “Pokemon GO Hub“, you will be able to participate in a paid special research called “Investigation of Illusions” that you can unlock for 0.99 Euro. As a reward, you can expect among other things:
- 13,000 Stardust
- 1 Snubbull
- 1 Rocket Radar
- 3 Incense.
When exactly this special research will be unlockable is still not known. We will keep you updated.
Currently, there is a lot happening in Pokémon GO. For example, Voltolos is available in raids – just like some new raid bosses.
Additionally, it may be worth using the Community Day to defeat Team GO Rocket as well. The grunts currently have exciting rewards as well:
