Community Day in July – Everything about date and bonuses
When is the community event? The Community Day was already planned before. It will start on July 21, which is quite late this year. It is a Sunday, and the event runs from 4 PM to 7 PM. The times have changed.
What bonuses are there? The event offers numerous bonuses again. The highlight will likely be the triple experience points:
- Triple XP when catching Pokémon
- Three-hour Lures
- Mudkip appears more frequently in the wild
- An exclusive move (probably for Swampert) will be announced
Is there any information on the move? It will likely be Water Cannon. This move has already been learnable by all other Water starters. However, this is not officially confirmed.
The move would benefit Swampert, as it will become one of the best Water attackers in the game.
Shiny Mudkip, Marshtomp, and Swampert
Will there be Shiny Mudkip? The Water Pokémon will also appear as Shiny. This was confirmed by Niantic in their notification. The chance of getting Shiny Mudkip will also be higher than with other Shinies. One can expect about 1 in 25.
How do the Shinies look? You will easily recognize Shiny Mudkip, because it is pink instead of blue. The evolutions will also be pink.
