What kind of event is this? Last year, a new event format was introduced in Pokémon GO: the Community Day Classic. Just like the original C-Day, a specific Pokémon will be highlighted during a three-hour event and will be found almost everywhere in the game.
And the shiny rate will also be improved for this monster. However, the monsters of the C-Day Classic are Pokémon that already had their own Community Day in the past and are returning once again.
In January, alongside the Community Day with Igamaro, you can also expect a C-Day Classic that will bring you the Rock and Ground Pokémon Larvitar. We have summarized the contents and bonuses you can expect on this day below.
All contents & bonuses for the C-Day Classic with Larvitar
When does the C-Day Classic take place? The Community Day Classic with Larvitar runs on Saturday, January 21, 2023, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM.
Is there an exclusive attack? As you may already know from previous Community Day Classics, there will also be a special attack for the event with Larvitar. Thus, Tyranitar, the final evolution of Larvitar, will learn the fast attack Catapult when you evolve Larvitar’s first evolution Pupitar between 2:00 PM and 7:00 PM local time.
In trainer battles, the rock attack deals 12 damage and in raids and gym battles, it deals 16 damage. You should definitely get the attack, as with the combination of Catapult and Stone Edge, Tyranitar is one of the best Rock attackers in Pokémon GO.

What bonuses are there? In addition to the numerous spawns and the exclusive attack, you can also look forward to one or two bonuses on this day. Here’s what you can expect:
- Incense and lure modules last for 3 hours each (except for adventure incense)
- Triple XP when catching
- Surprises with snapshots
Are there any special features in the in-game shop? Yes, you will also find the event ticket “Community Day Classic with Larvitar” in the shop, which brings you a corresponding special research. You can purchase this shortly before the event starts for just under 1 Euro.
