In Pokémon GO, there is currently a Color Festival, where you are supposed to solve a Collector Challenge. We at MeinMMO will show you which 12 monsters you need for it and what you need to keep in mind when completing the research.
What task is it about? Currently, the Color Festival is taking place in Pokémon GO, where you can encounter a variety of monsters. In the “Today” view, a special Collector Challenge has been unlocked for me.
For this, you need to collect at least one of each displayed specimen during the event. Where you can find the individual monsters and what else you should pay attention to, we have summarized for you below.
Which Pokémon are being sought?
These are the monsters you must collect: To solve the challenge, you need to collect the following monsters during the event period:
- Smogon
- Skunkapuh
- Woingenau
- Natu
- Pottrott
- Paras
- Krabby
- Knirfish
- Burmy (Plant cloak)
- Burmy (Sand cloak)
- Burmy (Tattered cloak)
- Moterpel
What reward is there? If you complete the Collector Challenge before the time runs out, you will receive 20,000 XP (experience points) and an Incense as well as a medal for the completed challenge. However, do not forget to redeem the rewards before the event ends, otherwise they will expire.
How long do you have? The Collector Challenge runs until the end of the Color Festival, which is until March 14, 2023, at 8:00 PM local time.
How to find the sought-after Pokémon
How to get the Pokémon? With the exception of Moterpel, the other sought-after monsters can be found in the wild during the event. By using Incense, you can attract additional specimens, which can help you in solving the challenge.
The new Pokémon Knirfish also defends the Level 1 raids during this time. The three different forms of Burmy are also hidden in the event field research under the task “Catch 8 different kinds of Pokémon”.
How to get Moterpel?
A special feature of this Collector Challenge is the Pokémon Moterpel. Unlike the other monsters, you cannot simply catch this one. To complete the task, you must evolve this Pokémon. You can recognize this in the research by the evolution symbol next to the monster’s graphic.
Since Moterpel is the evolution of Burmy, you must evolve one of them. This should not be a problem, as you need to catch this Pokémon anyway to solve the Collector Challenge. However, you need to pay attention to a few things when evolving.
What you need to keep in mind when evolving Burmy: To obtain a Moterpel, you must only evolve a male Burmy. Only these will produce the mentioned Pokémon. The cloak that the Burmy is wearing does not matter.
If you evolve a female specimen, you will receive a Burmadame, which is not sought after in the Collector Challenge and thus does not complete the research. So pay close attention to the gender of your Burmy before evolving.
