In Pokémon GO the “Alola to Alola” event has started today and brings you new event quests as well as a collector challenge. We at MeinMMO have looked at what tasks await you and we tell you how to best solve the collector challenge.
What tasks are involved? On the occasion of the current “Alola to Alola” event concluding the Alola season, Niantic has unlocked a new collector challenge for you as well as 5 special event field researches.
Where you can get the tasks, what you need to keep in mind when solving them, and what rewards await you have been summarized for you below.
When is the “Alola to Alola” event running? The event concluding the Alola season runs from May 25, 2022 at 10:00 AM local time until May 31, 2022 at 8:00 PM local time.
The collector challenge for the “Alola to Alola” event
Just in time for the start of the “Alola to Alola” event, the new collector challenge has been made available to you in the game. You can find it in the “Today” view, which you can access by clicking on the binoculars in the game. You have until the end of the event to complete the task.
However, do not forget to collect the reward before the event ends, otherwise it will expire. You need to collect the following Pokémon to complete the challenge:
- Manguspektor
- Trompeck
- Arboretoss
- Miezunder
- Marikeck
- Tragosso
- Alolan Rattata
- Tukanon
Reward: If you collect all the Pokémon, you will receive 15,000 experience points (XP), 15 Ultra Balls, and an encounter with Wuffels.
How you can solve the collector challenge
For the majority of the Pokémon you need for the collector challenge, you will find that you cannot find them in the wild or in raids. These monsters are also marked with a special symbol in the overview.
These Pokémon are actually evolutions. Only Alolan Rattata and Tragosso can thus be caught in the wild.
This is what you need to keep in mind: In order to complete the task, you must develop the original forms (Mangunior, Peppeck, Bauz, Flamiau, and Robball) accordingly. Once you have done that, the respective monster will be counted as collected in the challenge and will be checked off in the overview.
You can currently find the pre-evolutions of the sought-after Pokémon more frequently in the wild. However, you can also find these monsters in the new event field researches.
These are the 5 new quests for the “Alola to Alola” event
Besides the collector challenge, you can also receive new field researches during the event in Pokémon GO. You will receive the tasks as usual by spinning the photo disc at PokéStops.
Once you have “spun” the tasks, you will find them in the “Field” view of the game. You will again have unlimited time to solve them. The following tasks and rewards are available:
| Task | Reward |
| Use 7 berries to catch Pokémon | 7 Ultra Balls |
| Send 3 gifts to friends | 5 Poké Balls |
| Send 3 gifts with stickers to friends | 3 Nanab Berries |
| Make 7 Power-Ups on Pokémon | Encounter with Bauz or Flamiau or Robball |
| Walk 1 km | Encounter with Peppeck or Mangunior |
Especially the tasks “Make 7 Power-Ups on Pokémon” and “Walk 1 km” can help you when solving the collector challenge.
