How long are the raids available? Both Mega-Kangama and Kobalium will appear as raid bosses starting from November 16.
- Kobalium will remain in the 5-star raids until November 23. It also has a raid hour on November 22.
- Mega-Kangama will remain in the Mega-raids until November 30.
Can the monsters be shiny? Yes, both monsters can also be caught as shiny. However, you will need a lot of luck.
But is it worth catching the monsters at all? Let’s take a look at both of them.
What can Mega-Kangama do in Pokémon GO?
Mega-Kangama is this strong: Unfortunately, Mega-Kangama is not a particularly strong attacker. In raids, you should rather rely on the best attackers in Pokémon GO. And the normal form of Kangama does not play a significant role in raids or in PvP battles.
Some of the best attackers can be found here in the video:
But there is a good argument for completing the raid anyway: namely the rarity. Kangama is one of the regional Pokémon and is usually only available in Australia.
Through the Mega-raid, you have the opportunity to catch one even here. This allows you to complete your Kanto Pokédex with a Pokémon that is usually very hard to obtain if you don’t have it yet.
If you want to evolve into Mega-Kangama, you will need 200 Mega Energy for Kangama, which you will get from the Mega-raids.
To defeat Mega-Kangama, you should at least team up with one other person in the raid and have strong counters. You can find the best counters against Mega-Kangama here.
What can Kobalium do in Pokémon GO?
How strong is Kobalium? Kobalium has the type combination Steel/Fighting and is part of the “Swords of Justice” along with Terrakion, Virizion and Keldeo.
In the raids, there are better Pokémon you should focus on. But in the battle league, Kobalium is a very strong option. In the Ultra League, it is even listed in 4th place among the best Pokémon according to PvPoke.
In the league, it is best to use the combination of double kick, sacred sword, and stone edge to defeat your opponents.
If you want to defeat Kobalium in raids, you can find the best counters against Kobalium here. It can be beaten with two players, but be prepared for a tough battle. It’s better to go in with three trainers.
