Shiny Kanto Event in April?
We have already reported about a mysterious event that Niantic wants to start. In a newsletter, the team announced that a Kanto event on April 10 is to start. Therefore, we assume that it will revolve much around the monsters of generation 1. So far, there has been no further official information about it.
The community is speculating and hoping for increased spawns of certain Pokémon. Others expect new Shinies.
- After many mini-images of the Pokémon were revised in the code of Pokémon GO, the suspicion of Shiny gained more significance. According to Reddit user TheDragonKing913, only the Gen 1 models that already have a Shiny form in Pokémon GO received no changes.
- On the evening of April 7, data miner Chrales announced that the Shiny forms of the Voltilamm family are in the network traffic of Pokémon GO. To this announcement, he added the cryptic sentence: “And tomorrow, if you all are really good, there might be a livestream with something big” – so they were preparing for a big announcement about the event that is supposed to start on April 10.
