Pokémon GO made 2 essential adjustments to raids during the Regi event over the weekend. Players love this and wish it for all legendary raid bosses.
What changed? All legendary raids were weakened. They had the strength of a level 4 raid and could be completed with just two players. Additionally, the timer on the raids was altered. On Saturday, various raids spawned without a fixed raid timer. As a result, there were almost constant raids everywhere, and one could find the Regis in abundance.
These two changes were celebrated. Even though it is clear that this only applies to the Regis, many players wish it for all legendary bosses. We show you the voices of the players.
Duo Raids extremely popular
Here’s why these changes are well-received: During the live event on Saturday, players could raid almost non-stop. They were also not dependent on other players. One could walk through the city with a partner and do every raid.
This is especially popular in small communities, as gathering large numbers of players can often be difficult. Recently, there was also stress around Darkrai, as more players were needed for it.
What do the trainers say? On reddit, there is a thread on precisely this topic. “BibocaDiagonal” suggests that easier raids and the shorter egg timers could simply become the norm. He receives a lot of support for this.
As “penemuel13” states regarding this thread: “I know I was the happiest ever, when my girlfriend and I could do Rayquaza with just two people. The game brought me real joy instead of a grind for success. We could only do Regirock with two, but because smaller raid groups were required, it was possible to do almost as many raids as with Rayquaza back then.”
“I really enjoyed the duos/trios yesterday. I would probably spend more passes if we could defeat more bosses with fewer people. My friend and I like raiding, but we don’t have many other players around us,” says “StealArty.”
Are there dissenting opinions? Some trainers are especially against the numerous raids. Such events are good, but they won’t be special anymore if it continues like this.
Some trainers are also concerned about their daily coins. If there are indeed so many raids, it becomes difficult to earn coins, as battling in gyms is considerably harder.
How long will these changes last? The increased raids were only available on Saturday during the live event. The easy Regi raids will disappear this evening, on November 4th. They will be replaced by Kobalium.
