For the new season, Pokémon GO has also adjusted the egg pools. Among other things, there is a change in the 10 km egg – a seemingly unpopular monster is disappearing.
What’s happening in Pokémon GO: In Pokémon GO, the new season “Mysterious Wishes” began on December 1, 2022.
The new season brought new spawns, changed the raid bosses, and launched some new bonuses. And now, there are also some new Pokémon in the eggs.
In the 10 km egg, some familiar faces are still seen. Riolu is still included, just like the sought-after Galapaflos and Flapteryx or Viscora, which can now also be obtained through research breakthroughs.
However, one monster has disappeared from the pool: Lin-Fu has bid farewell from the 10 km eggs. This makes some trainers in the Pokémon GO subreddit “TheSilphRoad” happy (via reddit).
Lin-Fu is out of the 10 km eggs in Pokémon GO – for Togedemaru
What’s changing now: On the lowest rarity level of the 10 km eggs, there were recently Flapteryx, Galapaflos, Wuffels, and Lin-Fu. Lin-Fu originally appeared in May 2021 as a reward in the PvP league in Pokémon GO, but could also be found by hatching eggs.
However, it has not been particularly useful in Pokémon GO; even its evolution Wie-Shu is more of a Pokédex filler – it cannot shine in raids or in the PvP league. And it was not particularly rare, like Flapteryx and Galapaflos until recently.
This is likely the reason why some trainers viewed the monster as rather weak compared to the other options in the 10 km egg and are now happy.
- “Wait, so is Lin-Fu now out of the egg pool and the PvP league rewards?” asks one trainer (via reddit) – and receives answers like:
- “Finally no more damn Lin-Fu” (via reddit).
One trainer, however, notes that he finds the loss unfortunate – he has not found a good one until now (via reddit). In response, another trainer states that it is useless anyway (via reddit).
However, the Lin-Fu successor in the egg is initially causing skepticism – because Togedemaru is rather useless in raids and is also outperformed by other monsters in the PvP league.
Here, trainers describe that there seemingly needs to be something less desirable in the 10 km eggs. However, one trainer (via reddit) states: “I would rather hatch Togedemaru from every single egg from now on than see Lin-Fu one more time.
