The last Community Day in Pokémon GO was a disappointment for many players. Niantic changed 3 details about the event that were not well received.
What kind of event was it? The Community Day with Trasla took place on Saturday, August 3rd. During the event period, Trasla appeared everywhere and additional bonuses rounded off the event.
However, it is now the 3rd Community Day in a row that has not been well received by many fans. After the Bummelz weather feature did not work, there were too many weather spawns during Hydropi and no event spawns.
These were the problems players had during Community Day
What did Niantic change? There were 3 noticeable changes that frustrated many players. Here’s what was new:
- Every poked egg was a 10-km egg containing Trasla
- During the Community Day, there were Trasla raids
- Nests became primarily Fiffyen or Bisasam nests during the event
What players complained about the eggs: The bonus from the event was the reduced distances for hatching eggs. For a 10-km egg, players needed only 2.5 kilometers.
Many players wanted to take their chance to get Kaumalat or other rare Pokémon from eggs. But instead of the desired Pokémon, there were only Trasla, which was already everywhere.
However, there were also positive voices regarding this change. Some trainers preferred hatching Trasla and collecting the large amount of Stardust instead of just getting bad Pokémon from 2- and 5-km eggs.
What bothered players about Trasla raids: Currently, Shiny Rayquaza can be found in raids, which has been desired for a long time. However, this Pokémon did not appear in many places because Trasla raids were hatching instead.

Especially in small towns, Community Day is a good opportunity to find enough players for raids. But if there is no suitable raid, it is even more frustrating.
This problem with nests existed: Initially, it was stated from various sources that every nest would be turned into a Trasla nest. However, this did not work in many areas.
Instead of Trasla nests, there were mostly nests of Fiffyen and Bisasam. This bothered trainers, because now there were hardly any event Pokémon at popular gaming spots, but mainly Fiffyen and Bisasam.

Some fans suspected that this was a bug. Players from the American continents did not report such nests. They had the Community Day after us and Niantic seems to have fixed this bug by then. It is therefore likely that this was not intentional.
The next event starts on Monday. We’ll show you all bonuses:
