In Pokémon GO takes place on April 23 the Community Day with Velursi. Niantic invites to “Meetups” around the world, where smaller local events will take place, where you can meet other trainers.
What’s new? On April 5, Niantic announced that they invite trainers worldwide to “Community Day Meetups” on April 23. The team explains that they enjoyed seeing trainers at the live events in March and want to continue this in April.

C-Day Meetups on April 23 on the map – All locations
Do you need to register? No, you can visit the locations on April 23 without registration. On that day, the Community Day with Velursi in April. However, it is not mandatory to visit one of the locations to play the event. These are optional meetings where you can meet other players at a location.
The meetups run, as does the Community Day itself, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM.

- Yellow marker: Here, personal Community Day meetups take place from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM
- Blue marker: Here you receive more items each time you spin a PokéStop

What else is happening? Niantic wants to set an example for sustainability. For every trainer who walks 5 kilometers with Velursi on Community Day, a tree will be planted (up to a limit of $100,000).
