In Pokémon GO you can currently catch many Flaniwal. We will show you what you can use this Pokémon and its evolution for.
How can I catch Flaniwal? Flaniwal is one of the Pokémon that you can catch more frequently in the current Winter Holidays
event, which runs until December 25 at 8:00 PM. It can appear in the wild and in 1*-raids.
What kind of Pokémon is this? Flaniwal is a small whale of the Ice type. For 50 candies, you can evolve it into Kolowal. Although Kolowal is not a top attacker, it still has its strengths in a certain area.
By the way, as part of the current event, there is also a limited research called Winter Wishes
, where you can choose between one of two bonuses. You can find out what they are and what they will bring you from us as well.

Kolowal in Raids and in the Battle League
How strong is Kolowal in raids? In raids, Kolowal unfortunately does not perform well. It is not particularly strong, and there are much stronger options if you need ice attackers for your raids. You should rather rely on Pokémon like Mamutel, Snibunna, and Glaziola.
If you are looking for more Pokémon for your raid teams, check out the strongest attackers in Pokémon GO.
How strong are Flaniwal and Kolowal in the Battle League? Neither Flaniwal nor Kolowal play a significant role in the Super League or the Hyper League. In these leagues, you should refrain from using the two Pokémon and choose a better alternative.
In the Master League, however, Kolowal plays a more significant role than in the other two leagues and in raids. It is a useful Pokémon for which the fast move Ice Shard and the charge moves Avalanche and Body Slam are recommended.
It is important that you should of course level your Kolowal to the maximum, as is customary for Pokémon in the Master League. Whether you want to use your XL candy here or strengthen another Pokémon instead is entirely up to you.
How about you? Are you planning to use Kolowal in the Master League, or are you not interested in this league at all? Be sure to check out the events of Pokémon GO in December.
