In Pokémon GO there will be a prank event on April 1st, where you have to catch Transform Pokémon. We will show you where to find Ditto and how to complete the task.
What’s happening in Pokémon GO? Right at midnight on April 1st, the “April Fools” event 2022 started. If you check the map, you will find the Transform Pokémon Ditto in many places. However, not at first glance, because Ditto disguises itself as other Pokémon.
After a catch, an “Oh?” appears when the catch was a disguised Ditto. Then it transforms into its actual form. Here we show you an overview of all the current Ditto forms that the Transform Pokémon can take.
Catching Transform Pokémon – Here’s how
What kind of task is this? The quest “Catch Transform Pokémon” is a new field research that rewards you with an encounter with Ditto.
But even in the new special research for April 1st, you have to catch Transform Pokémon.
How does that work? Ditto is referred to as a Transform Pokémon. In the following overview, we show you the Pokémon behind which Ditto can hide.
- Rettan
- Nebulak
- Natu
- Gehweiher
- Finneon
- Yorkleff
- Lithomith
- Flauschling
In the following graphic, we show you how the corresponding Pokémon look in the game. This way, you know which of the monsters you need to focus on.
Is there a Shiny Ditto? Yes, since the season of mischief, you can also catch shiny Ditto in Pokémon GO.
What if you find one of the Pokémon in the graphic as Shiny? Can it transform into Ditto? No. If you find a shiny Yorkleff, it cannot transform into Ditto.
However, a normal Yorkleff can transform into Ditto, and if you’re lucky, that Ditto is a Shiny.
Update: Due to a bug, your Shinies could escape you now!
