Pokémon GO brings the new event “Steel Resolve”. The debut of a new Pokémon is also on the horizon: Meikro and its evolutions will appear for the first time.
When does the event start? Steel Resolve starts on January 21 at 10:00 AM. It runs until January 26 at 8:00 PM. So: From Tuesday to Sunday.
Dual Destiny continues: The season “Dual Destiny” brought its own special research. This will be updated with new steps at the start of “Steel Resolve”. Among other things, you will receive TMs and a lucky egg.
The highlight of Steel Resolve: The debut of the bird Pokémon Meikro is approaching. This is a small flying Pokémon from the eighth generation, which can evolve into Kravonid via Kranoviz.
Krarmor is a popular flying/steel-type Pokémon that trainers from the Galar region use as a flying taxi. The huge steel bird was quite a prominent Pokémon in the eighth generation.
Krarmor also appears in “Scarlet and Violet”, but there is no flying taxi in the Paldea region. The Pokédex provides insight into the “why”: “In Paldea, it does not serve as a flying taxi because airborne attacks from its natural enemies would endanger the passengers.”
It also has a Gigantamax form. However, when it will debut in Pokémon GO remains to be seen.
All content of the Steel Resolve event – How to get Meikro
How do I catch Meikro? You have several chances to catch Meikro during the event.
- It appears in 2 km eggs.
- You can lure it to PokéStops using Magnet Lures.
- You can earn it as a reward in the Battle League, if you win 3 battles in a set.
For the evolution to Kranoviz, you need 25 candies, and for Krarmor another 100.
Event bonuses: You can have your shadow Pokémon forget the useless move Frustration by using a TM. So you get another chance after the upcoming takeover event.
