In Pokémon GO, you currently have the chance to get a top Pokémon and a lot of candies – thanks to two events.
What is currently happening in Pokémon GO? There are currently two events running simultaneously in the game: “Rediscover Kanto” and “Rival Week.”
With this combination, you have a great chance to secure one of the best Pokémon for the battle league.
- Thanks to the Kanto event, you can often encounter Menki right now. It is a fighting Pokémon from the first generation that has received a strong evolution in Epitaff.
- And the Rival Week is currently giving you double catch candies.
- But: Both events will end this week.
Epitaff in Pokémon GO is really strong – Get it now
Why should I catch Menki now? Crucial is the evolution to Epitaff. This Pokémon is one of the best Pokémon in Pokémon GO’s Super League and thus a real monster if you want to defeat other trainers. It is currently ranked 2nd on the PvPoke rankings.
Since you get double candies thanks to Rival Week, each Menki gives you 6 candies from the start. If you use a Sananabeere, you even get 12 candies. That’s a lot of candies you can use to level up your Pokémon.
Since Menki is appearing so often right now, you can try to get a specimen with ideal PvP values – that is, low attack, but more defense and HP.

Then you can perform the evolution to Epitaff. However, keep in mind that you must defeat 30 ghost or psychic Pokémon while the Rasaff you want to evolve is your buddy.

What you need to consider: In the Super League, all Pokémon must have less than 1,500 CP. So be careful not to level up your Menki or Rasaff too much before the evolution because there is also a CP jump when evolving to Epitaff, which could potentially exceed the limit.
Also, keep in mind not to level your Epitaff above 1,500 CP, but only to a value below that, which is as close as possible to it.
