The GO Battle Night in Pokémon GO has been canceled. Niantic is postponing the event indefinitely due to numerous bugs.
What has been canceled? The GO Battle Night was supposed to take place this evening, on September 24. During the event, players would have received more Stardust in the PvP League for 6 hours and could conduct up to 100 battles for free.
The reason for this is numerous bugs and lags in the PvP League. Since the last update, the feature has become unplayable for many trainers. Trainers have already demanded that the GO Battle Night be canceled because of this. Niantic has now pulled the emergency brake and postponed the event – but there is no replacement date yet.
PvP League full of bugs – Trainers mock Niantic
This is what Niantic said: The developers kept their statement brief. They only stated that the GO Battle Night and the Flying Cup would be postponed.
The Flying Cup was also supposed to take place during the GO Battle Night and would have allowed only Flying Pokémon to participate. Additionally, Pidgeot could have learned the exclusive move Gust there.
How is the news being received? Trainers are mocking this postponement. It is not the first time the PvP League has had problems. Since the release of this league, there have been continuous bugs or lags, causing the league to have to be closed repeatedly.
Despite several attempts, the bugs kept occurring in the game, and the PvP League was hardly ever completely bug-free.
Therefore, negative comments from players also arise now. One reddit user Jevonar says: “If you’re lucky, you might encounter a Shiny Postponement!”
daniel_6630 states: “This is probably the most incompetent billion-dollar company I have ever seen.”
When can improvements be expected? It is hard to say. Niantic has already announced the Halloween Cup for the end of October. They may be trying to resolve the issues surrounding the PvP League by then.
Only very few trainers believe that the PvP League will ever be completely bug-free. After all, there have already been so many problems with the league that a considerable number of players have lost interest in the feature. It remains to be seen what Niantic will come up with.
