When will Necrozma be released? Necrozma was announced after a long wait via the official Pokémon GO account on Twitter for GO Fest 2024.
Necrozma will make its first appearance at the on-site events in Madrid, Sendai, and New York. For all players worldwide, it will finally be available at the global GO Fest 2024, which takes place on July 13 and 14.
How will Necrozma appear? As of now, it has been announced as a raid boss for the GO Fest events. So, you will likely encounter it first in 5-star raids at these events.

What kind of Pokémon is Necrozma and will it be strong?
This is Necrozma: Necrozma is a “Psychic” type Pokémon that debuted in the seventh generation of games. It forms a trio with Lunala and Solgaleo.
It is known as the “Prism” Pokémon and feeds on light. It is also connected with the Ultra Beasts, which recently made their return in Pokémon GO and will also play a role in GO Fest 2024.
The special thing about Necrozma: Necrozma is capable of taking on Solgaleo or Lunala. This allows it to undergo a form change to “Dusk Main” or “Dawn Wings” form.
It also has a third form, “Ultra Necrozma.” This belongs to the Psychic and Dragon type. It is achieved when Necrozma absorbs a large amount of light.
How the forms will be implemented in Pokémon GO remains to be seen. However, after the Proto forms of Groudon and Kyogre were introduced with the Protomorphosis, or the Adventure Effect attacks appeared for the Origin forms of Palkia and Dialga, it is hoped that Necrozma may also receive a special feature. For now, we will have to wait and see.
How strong will Necrozma be? That remains to be seen as well. Based solely on its stats, it is expected to be a strong Psychic attacker that will still be surpassed by Mewtwo. However, this will only become clear once the moves for Necrozma are known. Then it will be easier to estimate where Necrozma ranks among the best attackers. Its forms are still an uncertain factor here.
