Alongside the release of Pokémon Sword and Shield, the new Galarian Weezing is appearing for the first time in Pokémon GO today. You can find it in raids for one hour.
When does the raid hour take place? Today, on November 16th, a raid hour will be held from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM our time. This directly follows the Community Day with Panflam.
During this hour, you can find the new Galarian Weezing in level 4 raids. This new Weezing is different from the previous Kanto version.
What is special about Galarian Weezing? In addition to visual differences in line with the new Pokémon installment, Galarian Weezing also has adjusted types: Poison and Fairy. It is boosted by cloudy weather.
Use the additional raid hour to get this new version for the first time. More Galarian forms have already been found in datamining.
Defeating Galarian Weezing – Number of Players and Counters
How to counter Galarian Weezing? Galarian Weezing is vulnerable to Steel, Ground, and Psychic Pokémon. Accordingly, Mewtwo is an effective choice as the strongest representative of the Psychic type.
Strong counters also include:
- Metagross
- Jirachi
- Dialga
- Latios
How many players are needed? If you come in with Mewtwo and Metagross, two players should be enough to defeat Galarian Weezing in Pokémon GO.
Alternatively, you can also go into the raids as a larger group and try to complete as many as possible within an hour.
