In Pokémon GO a new event has been announced. This not only comes with a new monster, but it can also bring you a lot of Stardust.
What kind of event is this? The event is called “Hefel-Catching” and will start on Saturday, January 4, 2025, at 00:00. It will then be active until Wednesday, January 8, 2025, at 07:00.
As the name suggests, Hefel will be part of the event. The fairy Pokémon has existed since generation 9 and can evolve into Backel. It will celebrate its debut in Pokémon GO during the event.
Additionally, there will be a global challenge in the event, through which strong bonuses can be unlocked, as well as an increased shiny chance for 2 Pokémon that you may encounter in the wild.
Hefel-Catching – All Content
What is this global challenge? All Pokémon GO trainers can participate in a global challenge together, activating bonuses in the game. To complete a level of the challenge, a certain number of good curveball throws must be achieved by the trainers.
Each achieved level unlocks a new level with rewards and starts the next part of the global challenge. The rewards are active until the end of the event. The respective levels grant the following rewards:
Level 1:
- double experience points when catching Pokémon
Level 2:
- double amount of Stardust when catching Pokémon
- Hefel will be unlocked
- an additional event field research will be unlocked
Level 3:
- 2.5 times the amount of experience points when catching
- one more additional event field research will be unlocked
- Hisui-Fukano* and Gruff will be unlocked in the wild
Level 4:
- 2.5 times the amount of Stardust when catching
Level 5:
- 3 times the amount of experience points when catching
- 3 times the amount of Stardust when catching
Level 6:
- 4 times the amount of experience points when catching
- 4 times the amount of Stardust when catching
Which Pokémon can be found in the wild? In the wild, you can encounter the following Pokémon during the event:
- Fukano*
- Voltobal*
- Snubbull*
- Fiffyen*
- Frizelbliz*
- Yorkleff*
While all Pokémon in the wild can also appear as shiny, the chances for Voltobal and Frizelbliz are additionally increased.
Field research: There will also be event-related field research in line with the event. For completing this, you can receive Stardust, Poké Balls, and Great Balls, as well as encounters with event Pokémon.
PokéStop Showcases: You can also participate in PokéStop Showcases with the Pokémon from the event and receive rewards if you do well in the showcases.
