In Pokémon GO, the release of the mysterious Pokémon Zarude is imminent. An event coinciding with the release of the movie “Pokémon – The Movie: Secrets of the Jungle” brings the dark monkey Pokémon and additional bonuses like Research Pikachu into the game. We will show you all the bonuses.
What kind of event is this? New films in the Pokémon franchise are regularly released. On Friday, October 8, “Pokémon – The Movie: Secrets of the Jungle” will be released worldwide on Netflix. Accordingly, a kind of jungle event is also being celebrated in Pokémon GO.
This will happen at the event:
- Zarude will be released in Pokémon GO
- Research Pikachu will again be available in the wild, also as shiny
- Jessie and James are returning
- A limited-time special research will be available
- Free avatar items for you
- Special raids
Jungle Event in October – Start Time and All Content
When does it start? The event with Zarude begins on October 1 at 10:00 AM local time. It will be active for more than a week, ending on October 10 at 8:00 PM local time.
How to catch Zarude? Zarude, the dark monkey Pokémon, can be obtained through a special research task. Once you complete the series of researches, you will encounter Zarude. You need to start the time-limited special research during the event, but you will have infinite time to complete it.
Zarude is of the Dark and Grass types.
Pokémon in the wild: While you are out and about, you will encounter Hoothoot, Wadribie, Rotomurf, Waumboll, Lithomith, and other Pokémon. Rarely, you might even find Larvitar.
Special Pikachu: As you can already see from the picture, a well-known Pikachu will return: The Research Pikachu with a hat and messenger bag.
Raids: In the raids, you will encounter exciting bosses during the event. These are:
- Level 1 Raids:
- Research Pikachu, Larvitar, Kiesling, Tarnpignon, and Geronimatz
- Level 3 Raids:
- Schlurp, Chaneira, Pinsir, Kappalores, and Libelldra
Team GO Rocket: Jessie and James are returning to Pokémon GO. You will find them in snapshots and also in their familiar Meowth balloon. They will remain in the game even after the Jungle Event ends, disappearing only on October 15 at 10:00 AM local time.
More bonuses: During the event, you will receive field research tasks with Ohrdoch, Geronimatz, and other Pokémon as rewards. In the Pokémon GO shop, you will find free avatar items like the adventure hat and Wailmer water bottle.
