In Pokémon GO the sticker collection is being revamped to make it easier for you to sort. Many trainers are excited about the idea and wish for something similar for the item collection.
What kind of update is this? In a blog post Niantic announced that the sticker feature in Pokémon GO will be enhanced. You can get the stickers for example by spinning PokéStops. When you send gifts to friends, you can attach one of the stickers that represent cute Pokémon or texts like “Hi” to the gifts.
With this update, Niantic aims to make this collection clearer. Many new stickers are added for various occasions.

What’s specifically included: Niantic assigns the stickers to different categories. This way, you can simply choose one of the categories like “New” or “Messages” while browsing the stickers and find the stickers that match those groups.
The new categories are: “Featured”, “New”, “Messages”, “Pokémon”, “Characters”, and “Miscellaneous”.
So choose one of the categories when sending and swipe up to find more relevant content. In “Messages” you will find stickers with texts. A special feature in “Pokémon” is that there are subcategories to further narrow down the search. These correspond to regions like Kanto or Sinnoh.
You can see what the new feature looks like in the following two screenshots:
Special sticker offer: Most stickers that have been available in Pokémon GO so far are available at a special price in the shop. The offer runs from Monday, October 31, at 9:00 PM to Wednesday, November 2, at 9:00 PM.
“Do it for the item collection too” – Trainers react
This is what trainers are saying: On reddit the topic of the sticker overhaul is being discussed. Many trainers are happy about it and agree: It’s a small update, but we are glad that something is happening.
Others express concrete wishes, like user DivineCapybara: “Now do it for the item collection.” In response, another trainer says that Niantic is probably already planning that and the sorting feature for the stickers could be a first test in that direction.
Trainer tearable_puns_to_go says: “It’s not the most important feature, but good for whoever at Niantic decided that. Developing a small quality-of-life update and including almost all stickers in the offer are both good decisions.”
