In Pokémon GO we will experience the release of the Therian Forme of Tornadus tomorrow, on March 30th. We will show you all the important information about the raid boss and reveal whether you should go after this Pokémon.
How long will Tornadus be available? The new Therian Forme arrives on March 30th at 10:00 AM local time in Level 5 raids. You can fight it for 2 weeks. Tornadus will disappear from the raids on April 13th at 10:00 AM local time.
You could catch the Incarnate Forme of Tornadus before, but now the Therian Forme is coming into play for the first time. It has completely different stats and therefore also a different usability. We will provide you with the overview.
All information about the Therian Forme of Tornadus
These are the stats: For the first assessment, we look at the stats of the Therian Forme:
- Attack: 238
- Defense: 189
- HP: 188
- Max CP at Level 50: 3635
Compared to the Incarnate Forme, these stats are worse. The other form has an attack value of 266 and only a slightly lower defense value.
Is Tornadus worth it? The Therian Forme is weaker than the Incarnate Forme of Tornadus. In a battle against Virizion, where both forms are effective, the Incarnate Forme performs better.
Just before the release, Tornadus received an attack update, which hasn’t changed its usability. This is different from the Therian Forme of Thundurus, which became significantly better after this update.
Generally speaking, both forms of Tornadus are not real game changers in battles. They are both weaker than their competitors, and you should rather focus on Rayquaza or Moltres for flying attackers.
Additionally, the Therian Forme of Tornadus cannot currently appear as Shiny. You are doing the raids only in the hope that you can catch a useful specimen. However, since Tornadus is generally not very useful, you can approach the 2 raid weeks with more ease.
What’s next after Tornadus? Rest for the next 2 weeks, because after that the Therian Forme of Landorus is coming, and it will be really powerful! If Niantic doesn’t nerf the attacks here, we will get the best Ground attacker in the game with this form. So feel free to invest passes.
