In Pokémon GO the annual spring event starts in a few days. This year, you can expect new monsters, costumed Pokémon, and a variety of egg bonuses. We at MeinMMO will show you what other content you can look forward to.
What event is it about? Every year, around Easter, Pokémon GO hosts the so-called spring event “Hop into Spring”. On Tuesday, it will be time again, and the event will provide you with a Pokémon debut as well as encounters with costumed monsters. We have summarized for you what spawns and bonuses you can expect.
When does the spring event take place? The event starts on April 4, 2023, at 10:00 AM local time and runs over the Easter holidays until it ends on April 10, 2023, at 8:00 PM local time. Niantic accidentally published the first details about this event too early. Meanwhile, all the information is known.
New Pokémon for the Spring Event
Finding Wommel: One of the event highlights will be the Pokémon debut of the two Combee Pokémon. There were already first hints about the release from a tweet a few days ago. Now it’s official: at the spring event, you can encounter Wommel and evolve it to Bandelby using 50 candies.
During the event period, it will then be found in the wild, in 2km eggs, and in level-1 raids. You can recognize this bug and fairy Pokémon from Generation 7 by its small honey-yellow body, long black legs, and the two wings that have a light brown pattern.
Costumed Monsters: The focus of this year’s spring event is also on flower crowns and cherry blossoms, which is why you can find a variety of costumed Pokémon. You can expect Pikachu and Evoli as well as all their evolutionary stages adorned with cherry blossoms for the first time.
But also Haspiror, Wonneira, Chaneira, Togepi, and Togetic will again rely on their tried and tested headgear this year and, as in the last year, can be found with a flower crown.
