The Christmas event “Winter Holidays” takes place in Pokémon GO in two parts. The developers have now revealed what to expect in the second part.
What has been revealed: Until now, players only knew the content of Part 1 of the Winter Holidays in Pokémon GO. Niantic has now shown how it continues afterwards. A new shiny and new costumes await you. In addition, there will be raids, research, and more.

Winter Holidays Part 2 at a Glance
When does it take place? From Monday, December 25 at 10:00 AM to Sunday, December 31 at 8:00 PM. The times are for the local time zone.
What bonuses are available?
- During the Winter Holidays, you choose the bonus you receive for completing the
Timed Research
. The options include double catch XP and double catch Stardust. - You will receive more XP and Stardust for opening gifts.
New Pokémon: You can find Psyduck and its evolution Golduck for the first time in holiday attire in Pokémon GO. You can also find them as shiny.
For the first time, you can encounter shiny Gelatini as a new shiny.
Raids and Wilderness: During the event, you will encounter Pikachu in holiday attire, Alolan Vulpix, Psyduck in holiday attire, Jurob, Eevee with a holiday hat, Quiekel, Botogel with a holiday ribbon, Schneppke, Seemops, Galar Flampion, Gelatini, Petznief with a holiday ribbon, Frigometri, Flaniwal, and hopefully also Sniebel, Keifel, and Amarino in the wilderness.
In the raids, you can expect the following bosses:

Paid Timed Research: Anyone who wants can buy up to two tickets to unlock special research.
- Ticket 1 for 2 US dollars: A two-part Timed Research – In Part 1 of the event, you will encounter the event Pokémon such as Seemops with a holiday scarf, Frigometri, and Psyduck in holiday attire, as well as 2 premium battle passes
- In Part 2 of the Winter event, you will receive encounters with Psyduck in holiday attire and Petznief with a holiday ribbon, as well as 2 premium battle passes
- Ticket 2 for 5 US dollars brings you an avatar pose and the following rewards for the Timed Research:
