In Pokémon GO starts the event “Illuminating Legends X”. This brings the 6th generation in the form of Xerneas and more Pokémon as a release. We will show you everything you need to know about the event.
What kind of event is this? For trainers, there is a supply of Pokémon from the Kalos region in Pokémon GO. This is the home of the Pokémon from generation 6. The release of Xerneas, the Life Pokémon, and Yveltal, the Destruction Pokémon, is coming up. It starts with Xerneas with an event that unlocks some more new Pokémon in the game.

Illuminating Legends X – Start, Info, Content
When does it start? The kickoff is on Tuesday, May 4th at 10:00 AM local time. From then on you can benefit from the new content and bonuses.
How long does the event last? The event lasts almost two weeks and ends on Monday, May 17, 2021, at 8:00 PM local time.
Which new Pokémon are coming? The highlight is the release of Xerneas, the new legendary Pokémon from Generation 6. You will encounter it in Level 5 raids. In our counter guide to Xerneas in Pokémon GO, we show you Steel and Poison Pokémon that are particularly strong in battle.
Parfi, Flauschling, and Viscora are new Pokémon that you can discover even in the wild. However, the chance of encountering Viscora seems to be rather dependent on luck. The fourth new Pokémon could be Pam-Pam, which is tied to a challenge.
Rain Module: If you use this module at a PokéStop, it attracts Pokémon that like rain. These are Water, Bug, or Electric Pokémon. You need the module if you want to evolve Viscargot into Viscogon. You can also evolve Viscargot if it is raining in the game generally.
Timed Research: As you may know from previous events, a timed research will also start with the Xerneas event. You will encounter Fairy Pokémon like Parfi and Flauschling. The rewards also include the new rain module.
Special Attacks: During the event, Dragoran and Brutalanda can learn special attacks. If you evolve Dragonir or use a Charged TM, Dragoran can learn Draco Meteor. If you evolve Draschel or use a Charged TM, Brutalanda can learn Outrage.
Raids: In raids, you will encounter Psychic, Dragon, and Fairy Pokémon. These include Kaumalat, Galar-Ponita, Parfi, and Flauschling. A detailed list can be found here on MeinMMO after the event starts.
7-km Eggs: The contents of the 7-km eggs change for the event. If you receive a 7 km egg after the event starts, then the following Pokémon may hatch from it:
- Pii
- Fluffeluff
- Azurill
- Kaumalat
- Flauschling
- Parfi
You can unlock more bonuses
Special Challenge for more bonuses: From May 4th to May 11th, trainers worldwide are to catch a total of 500 million Fairy Pokémon. If this goal is reached, the event with Xerneas will be expanded with the following bonuses:
- For the rest of the event, there will be triple catch XP
- Pam-Pam will appear in raids for the rest of the event
- With luck, you will encounter Shiny Galar-Ponita. It is also possible to find these Shinies after the event.
What happens next? After the event with Xerneas, an event with Yveltal begins. This is the next legendary Pokémon from the 6th generation that you can catch.
