In Pokémon GO two new events will start in the next weeks. There will be a new smoke day and the limited research will return for home.
These events are about: In the coming weekends in Pokémon GO there will be a lot happening. The following events are set to start:
- The limited research with Snubbull on May 9th between 8:00 AM and 10:00 PM local time
- The smoke day with Kanivanha on May 17th between 11:00 AM and 5:00 PM local time
Both events are to be played from home again and have been accordingly adjusted.
Limited Research with Snubbull – All Information
What is limited research? In this event, the focus is on solving field research. There are quests with Snubbull and you have the chance for a shiny specimen.
How it has been adjusted for home: While you previously could only effectively play the quest day from outside, it will change this time. There will be 50 tasks to solve for which you do not need to go outside.
In over 50 research projects, there will be Snubbull as a reward and you will always have the chance for a shiny.
This is what you need to pay attention to: The limited research disappears at 10:00 PM local time. So you must complete it beforehand if you want to solve all field research.
Smoke Day with Kanivanha – All Information
What is the smoke day? This event took place for the first time with Wiesor in April. Now there is the reissue where the water and dark-type Pokémon Kanivanha is in focus.
In the event, the item smoke attracts rare Pokémon of special types that change hourly. This time, the dark and water types will alternate.
This is the schedule: Every hour the type changes and you can benefit from the smoke for a total of 6 hours:
- 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM: Water-type Pokémon
- 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM: Dark-type Pokémon
- 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM: Water-type Pokémon
- 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM: Dark-type Pokémon
- 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM: Water-type Pokémon
- 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM: Dark-type Pokémon
Which Pokémon will appear? So far, Seeper, Schallquap, and Mamolida have been announced as water-type Pokémon and Kramurx, Zobiris, and Zurrokex as dark-type Pokémon.
Particularly interesting should be Zurrokex, as this Pokémon is currently only available as a reward in the PvP League. Those who are not particularly active there will probably be delighted with these spawns.
These events are also available: May is marked by the nostalgia challenges. There will be a new event and a new special research each week.
These tasks you will need to solve in addition and might be able to connect them with the smoke or quest day.
