In Pokémon GO the Color Festival will start in a few days. In addition to numerous spawns and bonuses, you can also look forward to a new Gen 7 Pokémon that will celebrate its debut in several forms. We at MeinMMO will show you which monster it is and what event content you can still look forward to.
What kind of event is this? The Color Festival focuses on the colorful world of Pokémon. For this reason, you will encounter many differently colored monsters throughout the event. There will also be some bonuses.
One Pokémon will also celebrate its Pokémon GO debut in its various forms: Choreogel. We will show you what to expect specifically at the Color Festival and where you can find Choreogel.
When does the Color Festival start? The Color Festival starts on March 15, 2022, at 10:00 AM local time. You will have until March 20, 2022, at 8:00 PM local time to take advantage of all the event’s features.
Choreogel celebrates its debut
Coinciding with the Color Festival, the Alola Pokémon Choreogel makes its debut in Pokémon GO (via pokemongolive.com). The monster has no pre-evolutions or evolutions but has four different forms: Flamenco Style, Cheerleading Style, Hula Style, and Buyo Style.
As you can see in the image below, their various colors are particularly striking, catching the eye immediately. It therefore fits perfectly with the theme of this event. Additionally, each of these forms belongs to a different type, making them even more diverse.
With the start of the Color Festival, all variants of Choreogel will be available in the game, but you can only encounter them in certain regions. We will show you where to find them and what type the individual forms belong to:
| Choreogel | Location |
| Flamenco Style (Fire & Flying) | Europe, Middle East & Africa |
| Cheerleading Style (Electric & Flying) | America |
| Hula Style (Psychic & Flying) | on African, Asian, Pacific & Caribbean islands |
| Buyo Style (Ghost & Flying) | Asia-Pacific |
The respective forms can mainly be found in the wild of their respective regions. However, you can also keep an eye out for Choreogel during Field Research throughout the event. As Shiny, the birds are not yet available in Pokémon GO.
