In Pokémon GO, there are new features in Raid battles. Among other things, the raids will be visually enhanced – and there will also be rewards for the best trainers.
This is what’s happening in Pokémon GO: As outlined by the developers at Niantic in an announcement, they have come up with a few new features to celebrate the four-year anniversary of Raid battles in Pokémon GO.
On one hand, several yet unspecified quality-of-life improvements have been announced – small elements that should improve the raid experience.
In addition, there is a visual overhaul of the raids. On one hand, the user interface is to be adjusted. On the other hand, raids will now take place in a brand new raid stadium.
When are the raid updates coming? By now, the updates are already available in the game. This also applies to the other changes – as the visual adjustments are not the only ones.
New achievements reward the best trainers in raids
These are trainer achievements: Some time ago, dataminers discovered hints in the code of Pokémon GO that raid achievements could soon be coming to the game. Niantic has now introduced this feature.
For certain actions, trainers will now be highlighted after a raid. Trainers who have dealt the most damage or helped their teammates with Mega Evolutions through boosts will be showcased.
In addition, a whole range of achievements can be earned after a battle. If you earn the achievement for the first time, you will receive a medal that can then be leveled up as usual. Dataminers have already uncovered this feature.
Achievements are available for among others:
- Trainers who use the last attack in the raid
- Deal the most damage
- Keep a single Pokémon in battle the longest
- Use the largest Pokémon in battle
- Participate in the raid from the furthest distance
- Use a Mega Evolution
- Change the avatar’s outfit or pose
- Use the most charged attacks in battle
There are now not only rewards that make raids worthwhile, but also the new achievements.
