The Adventure Week is an event focused on Rock types. This event in May is returning to Pokémon GO, as the team confirmed via newsletter.
In a newsletter from Pokémon GO, the team at Niantic announces that one of the most popular events is coming back. It is stated that the Adventure Week will be activated later in May. Do you remember the event from last year?
Adventure Week in Pokémon GO – the return?
At first, only a report from an Italian newsletter hinted that the Adventure Week in Pokémon GO would be happening in May. This has now also been confirmed in the German version.
Newsletter announces event: Reddit user Biansci published a screenshot of his Pokémon GO newsletter that he received via email. It states:
“One of the most successful events of last year is returning this month: the Adventure Week! Get ready for exciting new rewards and special activities that will spark your sense of adventure. Remember to read the monthly newsletter to keep track of the upcoming events. It might be worth your while …”
What did the Adventure Week look like last year? In 2017, the Adventure Week started on May 18 and was active for about a week. During that time, players received more items from PokéStops and a 50% discount on Poké Balls in the in-game shop. Additionally, buddy Pokémon earned candy four times faster. Rock-type Pokémon like Omanyte, Kabuto, and Aerodactyl were found more frequently.
German version confirmed. Hours after the release of the Italian newsletter, the German version was also published, confirming the event. However, there is no exact date yet.
Event fits the picture, as in the last update 0.101.0, data miners already found the new catapult attack, which is a Rock type. So this would indeed correspond with an upcoming Rock event or the Adventure Week. What bonuses will be unlocked this year remains to be seen.
Until May 14, the battle event is still running in Pokémon GO and brings these new raid bosses.
