In Pokémon GO the Adventure Week is currently taking place. To conclude the event, you can expect a special mini-event on June 12, 2022, which focuses on Amarino and Balgoras. We at MeinMMO will show you all the event’s content.
What event is it about? In Pokémon GO at the moment the Adventure Week is happening, where everything revolves around Rock and Fossil Pokémon. On this occasion, the two Pokémon Amarino and Balgoras are debuting in the game.
However, the event week will also end on June 12. Since you will have earned a special hyper bonus for GO Fest 2022, you will receive a mini-event at the end of Adventure Week, where you can finally encounter Amarino and Balgoras in the wild.
We have summarized what other content the event holds for you and when you can expect to encounter the two dinosaurs.
The mini-event for Adventure Week – Start, Spawns & Research
When is the mini-event running? The mini-event will take place on June 12 between 11:00 AM and 3:00 PM local time. You can participate from anywhere in the world.
What is the event about? The focus of the event is on special limited-time tasks. You receive these by spinning the photo discs at PokéStops. If you complete the quests, then you have the opportunity to encounter Schilterus and Koknodon. With a bit of luck, a shiny specimen might be involved.
Additionally, a few other monsters will spawn during the mini-event, different from what was seen in Adventure Week. A special highlight will also be the wild spawns of Amarino and Balgoras.
Amarino, Balgoras and all wild spawns
Wild Pokémon: During the four event hours, you can encounter changed spawns in the wild. Some might even be found in their shiny form, which is why we marked these with an (*):

Amarino and Balgoras: Furthermore, for the first time, the two new Pokémon Amarino and Balgoras will spawn in the wild. Previously, they could only be obtained through 7 km eggs or field research.
Both monsters will spawn alternately during the event period. Additionally, you can expect a special weather phenomenon when catching Amarino. Keep an eye out for the two Pokémon at the following times:

All “limited research” tasks for the mini-event
During the entire event period of the mini-event, you will find various limited-time tasks at the PokéStops, each giving you an encounter with Schilterus or Koknodon. Which specimen you get from the two is random.
So just spin the photo disc at the PokéStops and the quests for the mini-event will be displayed in your “Field” view as you know it from other field research. You can then solve them as usual.
With the help of the overview from LeekDuck, we have listed all the limited-time tasks that you can find during the mini-event:
- Catch 3 Rock-type Pokémon
- Catch 5 Pokémon with weather boost
- Use 3 berries while catching Pokémon
- Land 3 nice throws

Is the mini-event for Adventure Week worth it?
Why Amarino and Balgoras are worth it: The two new Pokémon Amarino and Balgoras should be particularly interesting for this mini-event. Since they have only been available in recent days through 7 km eggs and research tasks, many trainers will still be looking for suitable specimens.
The mini-event thus offers you the opportunity to secure the monsters and their candies through wild spawns. Both the Rock and Ice-type Pokémon Amarino and Balgoras, which is a Rock and Dragon-type, have a further evolution: Amagarga and Monargoras.
To evolve them, you need at least 50 candies of both monsters. However, they are not yet available as shinies in the game.
Why the limited researches are worth it: With the help of the limited researches, you can encounter the Rock and Steel-type Pokémon Schilterus and the Rock-type Pokémon Koknodon. Although you could already catch these in the wild in recent days, you still have the chance to encounter a strong or shiny specimen through the research tasks.
Especially Rameidon, the evolution of Koknodon, is one of the best attackers in Pokémon GO. Bollterus, the evolution of Schilterus, can score points in the Super League.
What do you think of the mini-event as a conclusion to Adventure Week? Are you going to secure Amarino and Balgoras? Or are you going to skip the short event? Feel free to share your thoughts with us here on MeinMMO in the comments and discuss with other trainers.
In a few days, the next event in Pokémon GO will already take place. We will show you all content and new monsters for the card collection event.
