In Pokémon GO currently runs the crossover event for the trading card game, where there are new event research tasks again. We at MeinMMO have looked into what these tasks are and whether the rewards are worth it.
What tasks are involved? Currently, the crossover event for the trading card game is taking place in Pokémon GO. The reason for this is a collaboration between Pokémon GO and the Pokémon trading card game, where you will soon be able to get special expansions of the trading cards in typical Pokémon GO design.
Therefore, in the upcoming two weeks, numerous spawns, shinies, and bonuses are expected in the mobile game. Of course, the event field research should not be missing. Niantic has unlocked 7 new tasks for you. We will show you what tasks and rewards there will be.
When does the crossover event run? The crossover event started today, June 16, 2022, at 10:00 AM local time and will run until June 30, 2022, at 8:00 PM local time.
All new quests for the crossover event
During the crossover event, you will find special tasks at PokéStops that are themed around the event. To get them, you just need to spin the photo disk. You can find the quests in the “Field” view, which you can access via the binoculars on your map.
The event tasks will always be marked with the word “Event” so that you can distinguish them from the normal field research tasks from June. You have unlimited time to complete them.
But which new quests will there be for the crossover event? A total of 7 new tasks are available to you, all revolving around catching Pokémon, spinning at PokéStops, trading, or sending.
With the help of LeekDuck’s overview, we have summarized all tasks and rewards for you below:
| Task | Reward |
| Catch 10 Pokémon | 3x Razz Berry or 5x Nanab Berry |
| Catch 15 Pokémon | Encounter with Bulbasaur or Charmander or Squirtle |
| Catch 25 Pokémon | Encounter with Venusaur* or Charizard* or Blastoise* |
| Catch 40 Pokémon | Encounter with Snorlax* or Dragonite or Slaking |
| Trade one Pokémon | Encounter with Pikachu with Event hat* |
| Spin 5 PokéStops or gyms | Encounter with Reisslaus |
| Send 10 Pokémon | 5 Poké Balls |
Which tasks are the most worthwhile?
Spin 5 PokéStops or gyms: Particularly worthwhile in this event is the task to spin 5 pokestops and gyms. For this, you will encounter Reisslaus, which is making its first appearance in the game. It will also spawn in the wild and can be found in raids, but this additional task is worthwhile, especially since it is particularly quick and easy to complete.

Reisslaus is a Pokémon from the Alola region, which belongs to the Bug and Water types. With the help of 400 candies, you can evolve it into Tectass. For this reason alone, you should take the opportunity to collect as many specimens and thus candies as possible.
Moreover, Tectass can score with a solid attack and defense value. With Fury Cutter and X-Scissor, it also has a really fast moveset, allowing it to compete with the best attackers in Pokémon GO. However, it is not yet available as a shiny.
Other interesting Pokémon
Pikachu with Event hat: If you are looking for a shiny Pikachu with the Pokémon trading card hat, you can secure further chances with the task “Trade a Pokémon”.
This will only be available temporarily in the game, and it is currently unknown if and when you will have the opportunity again. However, you can also encounter the costumed Pokémon again in larger numbers during the Spotlight hour on June 28.
Snorlax, Dragonite, and Slaking: In addition, the task “Catch 40 Pokémon” can assist you in completing the 6 new collector challenges for the crossover event. With this, you will receive an encounter with Snorlax, Dragonite, or Slaking.
If you need these for the task, you will have the chance to complete them this way. However, which Pokémon you encounter will remain a random chance. Alternatively, you can encounter these Pokémon also in the wild or face them in level 3 raids.
What do you think about the field research for the crossover event? Will you try to secure Reisslaus? Or are you more interested in one of the other Pokémon? Let us know in the comments here on MeinMMO.
June brings you another surprise in Pokémon GO. For the community day in June with Kapuno, level 4 raids are returning. We will show you what restrictions there will be.
