Reshiram, Zekrom, and Kyurem are coming to Raids in Pokémon GO. These legendary dragon Pokémon will significantly change the meta-game, as they are among the best attackers. How strong are they?
What’s new? On the evening of May 19, 2020, the Niantic team announced that Pokémon GO will soon receive reinforcements with three new dragon Pokémon. These are the legendary Pokémon Reshiram, Zekrom, and Kyurem.
All of them will soon appear in level 5 raids. First, Reshiram will take the lead.
When will Reshiram arrive? On Tuesday, May 26 at 10 PM, Reshiram will join the T5 raids of Pokémon GO. It will remain in the game for three weeks and will then disappear again on June 16 at 10:00 PM German time.
It is assumed that the other two dragons will follow in the weeks after. However, Niantic has not announced this yet.
How to encounter it more easily: To ensure you can see the new Pokémon, raid hours will again take place in May and June. These hourly events will run on Wednesdays, ensuring that the raid boss appears in almost every gym.
The raid hours with Reshiram will take place on the following days from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM:
- Wednesday, May 27, 2020
- Wednesday, June 3, 2020
- Wednesday, June 10, 2020
Reshiram, Zekrom, Kyurem in the meta – How strong are they?
What you need to know: The arrival of these dragons will likely have significant effects on the meta game and likely also on trainer battles.
Based on current analyses, all three dragons are expected to be very strong. It is assumed that they will retain the attacks and stats that they have been assigned in the Pokémon GO code so far. However, Niantic may still change this before the release.
If everything stays the same, the rankings will look as follows:
- Reshiram will be the best Fire attacker
- Zekrom will be the best Electric attacker
- Kyurem will be one of the best Ice attackers – even stronger in its black or white form
So get ready for this strong trio and make sure to catch them in your collection if you enjoy raiding and looking for good attackers.
