In Pokémon GO the Hatch Marathon 2020 has started. The event brings you many bonuses around eggs and also a new shiny.
How long does the event last? It lasts a full 2 weeks and ends on January 16 at 10 PM. During this time, you can collect many bonuses.
Accordingly, there are Pokémon with party hats everywhere. You can catch all of them as shiny.

These bonuses are available: The list of bonuses is long. It mainly revolves around egg bonuses and rewards in Adventure Sync:
- Wurmple and Pichu with party hats can be found in 2 km eggs, Pichu also in 7 km eggs
- Raticate and Woobat with party hats can be found in level 2 raids
- Pikachu with party hat is available in the wild
- The shiny versions of all party hat Pokémon are catchable
- Double stardust and double candy when hatching eggs
- Adventure Sync brings 50,000 stardust, 15 special candies and an Unova Stone when you walk 50 km in the week
What new shinies are in the game? The only completely new shiny is Wurmple. This Pokémon has not been available before and is now found in its shiny form for the first time.
Raticate and Woobat have been available as shiny before, but never with party hats. Shiny collectors will find something here as well. The Pikachu family has been available as shiny with party hats before.
What about event spawns? There are no changed spawns. Pikachu with party hat can be found occasionally, but is quite rare. All other spawns are unchanged.
Are there new raid bosses? Only Woobat and Raticate are new in the raids. All other bosses are the same ones that have been available before.
Which bonus should you take advantage of? Even if it’s cold outside, try to complete the 50 km in the respective weeks. You can collect the Adventure Sync rewards twice and secure 100,000 stardust.
If you then activate a star piece, you’ll even earn a total of 150,000 dust. It’s rarely been easier to obtain a lot of stardust, so you shouldn’t miss out on the bonus.
