In Pokémon GO, Shiny Corasoon and new Costume Pikachu have been announced. However, not worldwide, but restricted to regions. Trainers are expressing disappointment and labeling the “event” as ideal for spoofers.
What’s new? Pokémon GO announced an event centered around Shiny Corasoon. Starting from July 22, it will be possible to catch Shiny Corasoon in Pokémon GO for the very first time. There is no time limit; the opportunity remains forever. Corasoon can be found near above and below the equator.
Additionally, starting from July 22, you can find a special Pikachu with an Okinawa Kariyushi shirt in Okinawa (Japan). It is supposed to remain available for a year. For many trainers, these two new contents are almost like “invitations” for spoofers.

What’s the problem? The “event” is being hotly discussed in the Pokémon GO community. It is not a classic event that is active for one or two weeks, but rather bonuses that are permanently or even annually active.
However, trainers feel that “normal players” cannot access these bonuses initially. Spoofers, on the other hand, receive significant incentives.
Thus, spoofers can teleport into the game to Okinawa starting from July 22 and catch the Costume Pikachu and also hunt for the Shiny Corasoon.
Spoofing is prohibited in Pokémon GO, and players are punished and banned if caught.

Congratulations Spoofer, Niantic is now giving you a Pokémon that will appear in an event in a country that is still closed for travel and will not be available anywhere else in the world. Sure, it is available for a whole year, but who knows when travel to Japan will be possible again. I also absolutely hate the fact that now costume Pokémon can only be caught in certain regions – and only for a limited time.

- “I was really excited when I saw an event with Corasoon, because I thought it would be worldwide for a few days. But nope. Now I have to continue wondering if I will ever complete the Johto Dex.”

Some trainers counter that there will surely be an event someday where Corasoon can be caught worldwide without having to travel to its natural spawn points. It would just take longer.
