Niantic announced: The big live event of Pokémon GO, the so-called GO Fest, will be playable at home for everyone in 2020. Due to the Corona crisis, you won’t have to travel to a specific location but can play in your hometown.
Niantic has not yet announced exact details, but there is already a date you can remember.
When is the GO Fest 2020? On July 25 and 26, you can enjoy the GO Fest. However, you will need a ticket, but you can benefit from the bonuses on both days.

How does such an event work? So far, it’s not entirely clear. However, it will certainly be comparable to the previous Safari Zones that could be enjoyed from home. There, event Pokémon simply spawned for ticket holders at their locations.
What is known so far? Niantic mentions a new special research task that can be solved. Additionally, there should be “great bonuses and Pokémon”. There are no details on this yet.
What does the image tell us? Previously, the image of the GO Fest revealed a lot about the spawns. This time, you can see Pikachu, Myrapla, Kinoso, Alola-Kokowei, and Pummeluff. The only Pokémon among them that does not yet have a Shiny variant is Kinoso. Therefore, an introduction of it seems possible.
A regional Pokémon that usually appears at such events is not yet seen. Likewise, Icognito, which is also a classic event spawn, is absent.
When will there be more information? In the coming weeks, more information about the GO Fest from home should be available. Additionally, there are supposed to be more surprises in summer that Niantic wants to share.
