The change of the month is approaching and that means a number of new events in Pokémon GO. A leak now shows the first hints for April, but these also raise skeptical reactions among the trainers. We at MeinMMO explain to you what has been found.
What events are we talking about? Every month, Pokémon GO hosts a series of different events that focus on specific monsters or types. Even though April is practically just around the corner, the upcoming events have not yet been officially announced. An alleged leak now gives insight into what is planned for the coming weeks.
This is what the current leak shows
Which leak are we talking about? As Reddit user Infinite-Set-2590 reports in their post, a new leak about the upcoming events is currently circulating in the Discord channel for Pokémon GO.
What events could there be? Accordingly, April is supposed to start with a Zorua event, followed by the Spring event, which should bring you an encounter with Shiny-Lilminip. On Easter Sunday, Hisui-Dressella is set to make its debut in Pokémon GO and dominate the arenas as part of a raid event.
At the end of the month, the annual Sustainability event is also set to take place, where you can expect two more debuts. Accordingly, Gufa, a water Pokémon from the 7th generation of games, will be catchable in the game for the first time and Algitt will probably celebrate its Shiny release.
Furthermore, the data miner has also narrowed down the contents of the two Community Days in June and July. These are said to focus on Milza and Strawickl.
Trainers are skeptical: “Hisui-Dressella on the same day as Regieleki?”
Discrepancies in the events: The trainers on Reddit, however, show themselves to be rather skeptical about the information so far. This is mainly due to the raid event that the data miner predicts for April 9. On this day, the next top raids will be taking place, as Niantic has already announced at the beginning of the season “Rising Heroes” in their blog.
In these, the two legendary Pokémon Regidrago and Regieleki will be found. Since Regidrago could be caught during the last top raids on March 11, trainers expect Regieleki on April 9.
For this reason, it is unimaginable for many trainers that Niantic would put several new monsters into raids in two different event formats on that day. The user ash_gibbsy questions unconfidently (via reddit.com): “Raid day with Hisui-Dressella on the same day as Regieleki in the top raids?”
Unknown source: However, the trainers have further doubts as the shared information does not indicate where it comes from exactly. The user krispyboiz notes, however, that a similar case occurred a few weeks ago.
For example, a leak also suddenly appeared in the Discord channel in February, showing information about the events in March. Many players were also unsure about whether the data could be correct, as there were discrepancies.
In hindsight, however, the contents mostly turned out to be true. Only the predicted dates did not match, which could have been due to the timing of the leak, as krispyboiz explains:
Fair enough, we had a leak in Discord in March in exactly the same way, no other source than someone saying something in a Discord, and everything was true with some things hard to name. The only discrepancies were the dates (which, as the leaker noted, could be wrong since they were earlier information).

I am still (and usually) skeptical until it proves to be true, but we did have such a case that turned out to be true.
This supports the leak
Even though there are one or two inconsistencies with the leak, the contents of individual events are quite conceivable.
Zorua event: Niantic holds an April Fools’ joke every year on April 1st. Last year, Ditto played a central role here. However, since the transfer Pokémon was already a major topic at the current “Let’s GO” event, it is conceivable that Niantic will choose a different monster for this year on April 1st.
Similar to Ditto, Zorua disguises itself by taking on the appearance of other Pokémon. It would be a possible alternative to use it instead of Ditto for the event. Some trainers, according to the comments, suspect this as well. The user OttoVonWong writes (via reddit.com): “The Zorua encounters are definitely in the spirit of the April Fools’ joke.”
C-Day with Milza: The Community Day with Milza would also not surprise some trainers. After Dragon-type Pokémon have appeared in this event format in recent years in June, Milza could therefore follow Kapuno and Kaumalat.
Additionally, Milza was already more frequently seen during the GO Fest 2022 and celebrated its Shiny debut. It is quite conceivable that it will now also get its own event day. The user taweryawer writes (via reddit.com): “Milza-CD was so obvious.”
Whether these events will actually take place in this form remains to be seen for the moment. However, if there is any new information, you will find it with us at MeinMMO.
What do you think about the leak? Can you imagine the contents for April? Or do you suspect that Niantic has completely different things planned? Feel free to let us know here in the comments and exchange ideas with other trainers.
