Spotlight Hour on November 2
Which Pokémon will you meet there? The first spotlight hour in November 2021 features Tuska from the third generation. This Pokémon belongs to the Grass type. Its evolution is Noktuska.
What bonuses do you get? For catching Pokémon, you will receive double the amount of candies.
Who is this worth it for? Neither Tuska nor Noktuska is particularly strong in PvE during raids or in PvP against other trainers. Since there is currently no shiny form of Tuska in the game, the event is not particularly interesting. However, the double amount of catch candies also applies to raid bosses, so you can make use of the bonus there.
Is there a shiny version? No, shiny Tuska has not yet been activated in Pokémon GO.
Spotlight Hour on November 9
Which Pokémon will you meet there? The second spotlight hour in November gives you Lampi. A Water and Electric type Pokémon from the second generation. Its evolution is Lanturn.
What bonuses do you get? For sending Pokémon, you will receive double the amount of candies.
Who is this worth it for? Lampi itself is not a helpful attacker in raids or PvP. Lanturn, on the other hand, can collect some points in the Super League, but even there, there are better attackers. If you have a full Pokémon collection, you can use the event to send many Pokémon and thus earn double candies.
Better, however, would be to wait for the Community Day with Sheinux. This will take place later in November and give you triple the amount of candies for sending Pokémon.
Is there a shiny version? Yes, you can catch shiny Lampi in Pokémon GO.
Spotlight Hour on November 16
Which Pokémon will you meet there? The third spotlight hour in November 2021 for Pokémon GO brings you Chelast. This Pokémon is from the fourth generation and belongs to the Grass type. Its evolutions are Chelcarain and Chelterrar.
What bonuses do you get? When catching Pokémon, you will receive double the amount of stardust.
Who is this worth it for? Focusing on Chelterrar, the highest evolution of Chelast, you get a solid Grass attacker in raids. However, there are many better Grass attackers in PvE, which is why this event is not a “must” for these reasons. In trainer battles, none of the evolutions have any particular strengths.
The event is worth it mainly for the stardust and the chance to get a shiny.
Is there a shiny version? Yes, Chelast can be caught as shiny in Pokémon GO.
Spotlight Hour on November 23
Which Pokémon will you meet there? The fourth spotlight hour in November 2021 brings you Panflam. This Pokémon is from the fourth generation and belongs to the Fire type. Its evolutions are Panpyro and Panferno.
What bonuses do you get? For catching Pokémon, you will receive double the amount of experience points (XP).
Who is this worth it for? Neither Panflam nor any of its evolutions are really relevant in trainer battles (PvP) or in raids (PvE). So use the event to earn more XP, which you need for leveling from level 40 to level 50 in Pokémon GO. If you want, you can also try your luck for a shiny.
Is there a shiny version? Yes, you can catch Panflam as shiny in Pokémon GO.
Spotlight Hour on November 30
Which Pokémon will you meet there? The last spotlight hour in November 2021 for Pokémon GO brings you Plinfa. Like Chelast and Panflam, it belongs to the fourth generation but takes on the Water type.
Its evolutions are Pliprin and Impoleon.
What bonuses do you get? For catching Pokémon, you will receive double the amount of candies.
Who is this worth it for? Impoleon is not to be underestimated as an attacker in raids. It is among the best Water attackers in Pokémon GO and ranks alongside heavyweights like Kyogre and Gyarados. Although there are stronger alternatives, you are already in a good position in raids with Impoleon. In PvP, it can hold its own in the Super League and Hyper League, but there are stronger alternatives.
