Spotlight Hour on November 5
Which Pokémon is in focus? In this Spotlight Hour, Gehweiher is waiting for you. This Pokémon comes from Generation 3 and has the types Bug and Water. It also has an evolution with Maskeregen.
Which bonus is active? If you send Pokémon to the professor during this Spotlight Hour, you will receive double the amount of candies.
This can be very rewarding if you have already saved Pokémon beforehand and, for example, marked them with a tag to quickly send them during the event.
Is the event worth it? Gehweiher and its evolution are not strong Pokémon that you should use in raids or the battle league. There are many better monsters that you should rely on.
The bonus of this Spotlight Hour can be quite interesting if your Pokémon storage has filled up and you need to clean it out. The additional candies can add up when you have a large number of Pokémon.
Can you catch Shiny Gehweiher? Yes, with a bit of luck you might also encounter the Shiny variant of Gehweiher.
Spotlight Hour on November 12
Which Pokémon is in focus? Olini is the star in the Spotlight Hour on November 12. This Pokémon comes from Generation 9, has the types Plant and Normal, and can first evolve into Olivinio and then into Olithena.
Which bonus is active? In this Spotlight Hour, there is a bonus for evolving Pokémon. You will receive double the amount of experience points. It does not matter which monster you evolve; you receive the bonus with every evolution.
Is the event worth it? Olini and its evolutions are not among the best attackers in Pokémon GO. You should not use them in raids or in the battle leagues.
If you are after experience points and have many Pokémon waiting to evolve, then this event might be worth it for you. With the doubled amount of experience points, you can accumulate a nice bonus.
If you use a Luck Egg during the event, you can further boost the bonus and even get four times the amount of experience points for your evolutions during that time.
Can you catch Shiny Olini? No, Olini and its evolutions are not yet available as Shiny in Pokémon GO.
Spotlight Hour on November 19
Which Pokémon is in focus? In the Spotlight Hour on November 19, there are 2 Pokémon waiting for you. In addition to Teddiursa, the small Normal-type bear from Generation 2, Wadribie, the Bug-Flying Pokémon from Generation 4, is also waiting for you.
While Teddiursa can evolve into Ursaring and then into Ursaluna, Wadribie can evolve into Honweisel.
Which bonus is active? During this Spotlight Hour, there is a Stardust bonus for catching Pokémon. This means you will receive double the amount of stardust for each Pokémon you catch.
Is the event worth it? If you are looking for strong additions for your teams, you should avoid Wadribie and its evolution.
However, the final evolution of Teddiursa, Ursaluna, can score some points. It is a good Normal-type attacker in raids, even though you usually don’t want to use this type here. It can also be found among the 30 best Pokémon in the Master League.
However, the real highlight of this event is likely the bonus. Wadribie gives you a solid 750 stardust when you catch it. It is among the Pokémon that grant more stardust when caught.
With the bonus from the Spotlight Hour, you will receive a total of 1,500 stardust per catch. If you also use Stardust Modules, you can expect over 2,250 stardust for each Wadribie you catch.
Can you catch the Pokémon as Shiny? Yes. Both Pokémon are already available in their Shiny forms in Pokémon GO. If you’re lucky, you might encounter them during the event.
Spotlight Hour on November 26

Is the event worth it? Wattzapf and its evolution are not strong Pokémon and are not particularly good for use in raids or the battle league.
If you are diligently collecting experience points, you can use the event to pick up a few additional experience points. Using a Luck Egg can increase the amount even further.
Can you catch Shiny Wattzapf? Yes, with a bit of luck, you can also encounter the Shiny variant of Wattzapf.
