What events are there? Every Tuesday, Pokémon GO hosts a one-hour event where a previously determined Pokémon spawns more frequently in the wild. This event is referred to as a spotlight hour.

Spotlight hour on November 7
Which Pokémon? In the first spotlight hour in November, you will encounter Lampi from the second generation. It is a Water and Electric type and can evolve into Lanturn.
What bonuses are active? For sending Pokémon, you will receive double the amount of candies.
Is it worth it? Lampi is not particularly exciting as an attacker. Lanturn, on the other hand, ranks in the upper midfield in the Super League of Trainer battles and is almost one of the best attackers. As an attacker in raids, it is not very attractive.
Can you catch Shiny Lampi? Yes, the shiny version of Lampi is already active in Pokémon GO and can be caught by you.
Spotlight hour on November 14
Which Pokémon? In the second spotlight hour in November, you will encounter Haspiror from the fourth generation. It is a Normal type and can evolve into Schlapor and Mega-Schlapor.
What bonuses are active? For evolving Pokémon, you will receive double the amount of experience points.
Is it worth it? Haspiror and Schlapor are not particularly strong attackers. Mega-Schlapor, on the other hand, is significantly better and is of the Fighting and Normal types. Therefore, you have more use cases for this Pokémon.
Can you catch Shiny Haspiror? Yes, the shiny version of Haspiror is already unlocked in Pokémon GO and can be caught by you.
Spotlight hour on November 21
Which Pokémon? The third spotlight hour in November 2023 brings you the Pokémon Dummisel from the second generation. It is of the Normal type.
What bonuses are active? For catching Pokémon, you will receive double the amount of Stardust.
Is it worth it? Dummisel is not a strong attacker and has no evolutions. The event is especially worthwhile for the Stardust bonus for you.
Can you catch Shiny Dummisel? Yes, you can catch Shiny Dummisel in Pokémon GO.
Spotlight hour on November 28
Which Pokémon? In the last spotlight hour in November, you will encounter Ferkuli from the ninth generation. It is of the Normal type and can evolve into Fragrunz.
What bonuses are active? For catching Pokémon, you will receive double the amount of experience points.
Is it worth it? Neither Ferkuli nor Fragrunz are particularly good for battles. You can use them mostly to fill your Pokémon collection. If you need experience points, you can earn some during the event by catching Pokémon.
Can you catch Shiny Ferkuli? Yes, the shiny version of Ferkuli is already active in Pokémon GO and can be caught by you.
