See all the Shinys from the Kanto, Johto, Hoenn, and Sinnoh research from the Nostalgia Challenge 2020 in Pokémon GO. Which one are you looking forward to the most?
What is it about? In Pokémon GO, the big “Nostalgia Challenge 2020” event started on May 1, 2020. It runs throughout May and ends in June with a big finale.
The event is divided into various researches. Currently, the Kanto research is taking place in Pokémon GO.
In the second week, Johto follows, then Hoenn, and finally Sinnoh. All researches feature special Shinys that we present to you here.
Kanto Research – Which Shiny?
What you will find: The Pokémon Bluzuk, a Bug and Poison type, appears as Shiny for the first time this week. In its shiny form, its fur is a bit darker and its eyes are blue instead of red.
The evolution Omot is also more blue.
The Kanto week runs from May 1 to May 8. You can find all the tasks and rewards for the Kanto week here.
You will also find Pikachu with a Charizard hat, which can also appear as Shiny.
Johto Research – Which Shiny?
What you will find: As a shiny surprise, you might encounter Shiny Dummisel. The shiny form differs with reddish/pink accents instead of turquoise/green.
The Johto week runs from May 8 to May 15 under the name “Nostalgia Challenge 2020: Johto”.
Pikachu will be wandering around with a nighttime hat in the wild during this time. You can also catch this one as Shiny.
Hoenn Research – Which Shiny?
What you will find: As a shiny Pokémon, you will encounter Eneco during the Hoenn research. In its shiny form, its back, head, and tail are more reddish. The differences in its evolution Enekoro are even clearer.
The Hoenn week runs from May 15 to May 22 “Nostalgia Challenge 2020: Hoenn”.
During this week, Pikachu will wear a Rayquaza hat. Catch it as Shiny too!
Sinnoh Research – Which Shiny?
What you will find: During the Sinnoh research, the shiny form of Charmian will come into play. The Pokémon resembles a house cat. Its shiny form appears purple instead of grayish.
The evolution Shnurgarst also looks purple.
The Sinnoh week runs from May 22 to May 29 “Nostalgia Challenge 2020: Sinnoh”.
During this time, you will also find Pikachu with a special Lucario hat in the wild. You can also encounter this Pikachu in its shiny form.
