In Pokémon GO you can also encounter regional monsters during today’s Johto Tour. We at MeinMMO will show you which monsters you can look forward to and where to catch them.
What are regional Pokémon? In Pokémon GO, there are a number of regional monsters that can only be caught in a specific area. This includes, for example, Kangaskhan, which can only be found in Australia. To get them all, you usually have to travel to the corresponding regions.
On the occasion of today’s Johto Tour, you can temporarily obtain the regional monsters of the Johto region worldwide.
How to catch Corasonn and Heracross
The regional Pokémon of the Johto region are Corasonn and Heracross. While Corasonn can usually only be found near the equator, the Bug and Fighting-type Pokémon Heracross comes from Latin America.
Both monsters have also been catchable in Europe during certain events, but the shiny version of the Water and Rock-type Pokémon Corasonn celebrates its premiere during the Johto Tour.
But where can you catch Heracross and Corasonn? The two regional Pokémon will be found in level-3 raids throughout the Pokémon GO Tour: Johto on February 26, 2022. Once you defeat them, you will have the opportunity to catch one.
Are Corasonn and Heracross worth it?
Are there shiny versions of Corasonn and Heracross? Yes, you can catch shiny Heracross and shiny Corasonn. With a bit of luck, you may encounter the shiny version after the raid. They are also available as shiny in their respective regions.
Corasonn is distinguished by a blue body from its normal form. Shiny Heracross can be recognized by its pink body.
Why should you catch Corasonn and Heracross? Both Corasonn and Heracross have no pre-evolutions or further evolutions. However, Corasonn is particularly interesting for shiny hunters today and stands out due to its rarity.
Heracross, on the other hand, you should definitely secure. Although the Pokémon also has a shiny version and is therefore of great interest to shiny hunters, it can also impress with a strong attack. Heracross is one of the best fighting attackers in Pokémon GO.
So it’s worth taking the opportunity if you’re looking for a strong fighting Pokémon for your team. Additionally, during the event, there is a candy bonus for catching, allowing you to collect valuable candies needed for leveling up.
