This weekend, the GO Fest is taking place in Pokémon GO, where you can encounter regional monsters again. We have summarized for you which ones will be present at this event and how to find them here on MeinMMO.
Which Pokémon are involved? In Pokémon GO, not all monsters spawn everywhere in the world. Some of them are only found in specific regions and therefore usually can only be obtained through traveling or trading with other players. However, for major events, Niantic likes to make selected regional monsters spawn worldwide.
It will also be the case at the GO Fest 2023, which runs on the weekend of August 26 and 27 in Pokémon GO. However, compared to other events, such as the Hoenn tour, the selection for the GO Fest seems significantly smaller. Only 5 regional Pokémon will be available, of which one is permanently obtainable in our regions.

These are the 5 regional Pokémon for the GO Fest
During this year’s GO Fest, there will be a total of 5 regional Pokémon that can be found in various habitats. However, not all of them are available for all players, as some are exclusive spawns for ticket holders. We have summarized below where you can find each regional monster and whether you can get them without a ticket.
Skaraborn
What kind of Pokémon is this? Skaraborn is a regional Pokémon of the Bug and Fighting types that originates from the 2nd generation of games. It is usually only found in South and Central America as well as the Caribbean. The monster does not have an evolution, but it does generally have a temporary Mega Evolution that is not yet active in the game.
Where can it be found at the GO Fest? Skaraborn will be available to all trainers during the GO Fest. It spawns in the habitat Quartz Terrarium
on Saturday. On Sunday, it will be generally found in the wild.
Is there a shiny version of Skaraborn? Yes, with a bit of luck, you might encounter a shiny Skaraborn. It has a pink body.

Schalellos (Eastern and Western Sea)
What kind of Pokémon are they? The water Pokémon Schalellos exists in two variations in the game. The blue specimen (Eastern Sea) can be found in Europe, from eastern England to Japan and Australia, and is regularly found in the wild here, while the pink Schalellos (Western Sea) spawns from west of England to America. Both have an evolution, Gastrodon.
Where can they be found at the GO Fest? Just like Skaraborn, both Schalellos can be caught by all players in the wild. You can find the blue variant on Saturday in the habitat Quartz Terrarium
and the pink specimen in the habitat Aquamarine Coast
. On Sunday, they will also be found in the wild without a habitat.
Is there a shiny version of Schalellos? Both forms celebrate their shiny debut at the GO Fest. So, you can find them in their shiny forms with a bit of luck. In these, they have a light blue and a reddish body, respectively.

Venuflibis
What kind of Pokémon is this? A monster that can usually only be found in the southeastern United States is Venuflibis. The plant Pokémon from the 4th generation of games has no pre-evolutions or evolutions.
Where can it be found at the GO Fest? At the GO Fest, it is available exclusively for ticket holders from the incense. You can find it in the habitat Malachite Wilderness
or on Sunday without a fixed habitat, also from the incense.
Is there a shiny version of Venuflibis? No, the shiny form is not yet active in the game.
Pachirisu
What kind of Pokémon is this? The last regional Pokémon for the GO Fest 2023 is Pachirisu. The electric Pokémon from the 4th generation of games is usually found in Alaska, Canada, or the north of Russia. The little electric squirrel has no pre-evolutions or evolutions.
Where can it be found at the GO Fest? Pachirisu will also only be available during the GO Fest for ticket holders. It spawns on Saturday in the habitat Aquamarine Coast
and on Sunday generally in the wild when you place incense.
Is there a shiny version of Pachirisu? No, Pachirisu cannot currently be caught as shiny in the game.
