Every month you can participate in various raids in Pokémon GO. If you succeed in battling the monster, you then have the chance to catch the defeated Pokémon. For many trainers, especially the 5-star and Mega raids are interesting.

Raid Hours in May 2025 in Pokémon GO
When do raid hours take place? The so-called raid hours take place every Wednesday in Pokémon GO. During this time, you will find a Pokémon in a majority of the gyms from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM and can challenge it.

Note that during the raid hours on May 14 and 21, you can only catch Vesprit in Europe. If you want to challenge the other monsters, you need to be invited by trainers from the corresponding regions via remote raid.

What special features are there in May? If you are looking to strengthen your raid teams, then you may not be very satisfied in May. While there are solid attackers like Kapu-Toro, Mega-Hundemon, and Mega-Garados, all three monsters are not among the top attackers in Pokémon GO.
If you are a collector, then the three legendary monsters Selfe, Vesprit, and Tobutz might be interesting, especially if you have not obtained them in the past. However, keep in mind that you need to be invited by trainers in raids who are in the corresponding regions for Selfe and Tobutz, as you will not encounter both monsters in Europe.
