Raids in April: In Pokémon GO, there are different raids every month that you can participate in. If you defeat the respective monster, you will have the chance to catch it and add it to your collection afterward. Particularly, the strong 5-star and Mega raids are of interest to many trainers.
There are also various so-called raid hours every month. On Wednesdays, you have the opportunity to encounter a specific Pokémon as a raid boss in almost all gyms for one hour.

Raid hours in April 2025 in Pokémon GO
When do the raid hours take place? Every Wednesday, a raid hour takes place. These run from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM. You have 60 minutes to challenge, defeat, and catch many specimens of a monster.

Note that the raid hour with Muramura only takes place in the eastern hemisphere. If you want to participate, you will need to be invited to a remote raid by trainers located in that hemisphere.

What special features are there in April? If you are looking for reinforcements for your team, then you should dive into raids in April. Some of the strongest monsters in the game await you with Mega-Lohgock and Mega-Gewaldro.
If you are more of a collector, you might also get your money’s worth. Kopplosio and Muramura are available in their shiny forms for the first time in April. However, note that Muramura is only available in the eastern hemisphere. If you want to catch the monster as shiny, then you will need to be invited to a remote raid by trainers who are there.
