In Pokémon GO the Fashion Week runs from today, September 27, 2022. This brings you one or two new Shinies. We at MeinMMO will show you which monsters are involved and where you can find them.
Which event is it about? Pokémon GO is currently hosting the annual Fashion Week. On this occasion, the little pocket monsters want to shine particularly brightly, which is why some of them have dressed up especially for this event.
During the event period, you can encounter numerous costumed monsters in Pokémon GO and there will also be one or two new Shinies. We have summarized which ones they are and where you can find them below.
When does the Fashion Week run? The fashion event runs from September 27, 2022, at 10:00 local time until October 3, 2022, at 20:00 local time.
1. Yveltal
What kind of monster is this? Yveltal is a legendary Dark and Flying Pokémon from Generation 6. It has no pre-evolution or evolution. With a moveset of Knuckle and Dark Aura, as well as a high attack value, it can prove to be one of the best attackers in Pokémon GO.
As part of the Fashion Week, Yveltal will also be available in its shiny form in the game for the first time. You can recognize it by its white-gray wings.
Where can you find it? You can currently find Yveltal in Level 5 raids and, with a bit of luck, encounter a shiny specimen afterwards. Additionally, you can also secure it from the rewards of the GO Battle League from Level 20 onwards.
Here you can find the best counters against Yveltal.
2. Coiffwaff
What kind of monster is this? The Normal-type Pokémon Coiffwaff originates from Generation 6. The monster loves to change its look and therefore has 9 more different forms in addition to its normal variant, distinguished by its haircut.
It has no pre-evolution or evolution and is not particularly strong. However, due to its various forms, it is perfectly suitable for collectors. At the fashion event, it is also making its Shiny debut.
The shiny variant differs from its normal variant by having a dark coat and a light face. Of course, all its forms will also be available as Shiny. The following image shows what the different forms look like:
Where can you find it? Coiffwaff will be found almost everywhere in the game over the coming days. So keep an eye out for it in the wild and in Level 1 raids. It is also part of the field research tasks for Fashion Week. It hides behind the snapshot tasks.
How to change Coiffwaff’s form can be found in the following post:
3. Absol with a stylish look
What kind of monster is this? Absol is a Dark-type Pokémon from Generation 3, which has no pre-evolution or evolution. The monster has been available as a Shiny in the game for quite some time. However, for Fashion Week, it has dressed up particularly nicely with a stylish pair of sunglasses just for you.
You can thus find it for the first time in this costume and even catch it as Shiny with a bit of luck. This makes it a bit rarer compared to its normal form, as you never know when it will come back into the game. You can recognize the Shiny by its white and orange body.
Where can you find it? Just like Coiffwaff and Yveltal, Absol will also be found in the raids in the coming days. Additionally, it sometimes spawns in the wild. You also have another chance at a shiny Absol in the rewards of the limited research.
4. Digda in a stylish look
What kind of monster is this? The Ground-type Pokémon Digda originates from the first generation and will be found for the first time with a hat during the Fashion Week. This version can also evolve into a Digdri with a hat.
Like Absol, Digda has also been available as a Shiny in the game for some time. However, due to the costume, you can secure a special version of it, which, based on experience, will not be available frequently. Pay attention to Digda’s nose when catching, as it is blue in the Shiny.
Where can you find it? Digda will be available throughout the event in Level 1 raids and, with a bit of luck, in the wild. Additionally, it hatches from the 7-km eggs that you can secure from your friends’ gifts for Fashion Week.
Anyone wanting to seize another opportunity for a Shiny should also complete the limited research tasks. To secure a costumed shiny Digdri, you need to evolve shiny Digda with a hat. Digdri will not currently be catchable in the game.
5. Toxiquak in a stylish look
What kind of monster is this? Toxiquak is a Poison and Fighting-type Pokémon from Generation 4. It evolves from Glibunkel. After there was already a costumed Glibunkel with a cap in the game that could be caught as shiny in the past, Toxiquak finally celebrates its costume debut.
You can thus evolve the costumed shiny Glibunkel now accordingly. You recognize it by its turquoise body.
Where can you find it? Toxiquak itself will not be found in the wild or in raids during the event. To secure the costumed monster as a Shiny, you first need to catch a costumed Shiny Glibunkel.
This will spawn in the coming days in the wild, in Level 1 raids, hatch from eggs, and will also be found in the rewards of the limited research and event quests.
Other rare Shinies for Fashion Week
However, the new Shinies are not the only shiny monsters that you can secure during Fashion Week in Pokémon GO. You can also snag other costumed Pokémon that have already appeared at events of this kind in previous years and whose shiny form is therefore a bit rarer in the wild, in raids, and from eggs.
Keep an eye out for the following monsters in the coming days:
- Smettbo with a bow: In the wild & in Level 3 raids
- Elezeba with a collar: In the wild & in field research
- Kirlia with a hat: In the wild & in Level 3 raids
- Sheinux with a hat: In Level 1 raids & in 7-km eggs
- Kussilla with a bow: In 7-km eggs
