Today, on July 23, 2021, the first Hyperbonus started in Pokémon GO, unlocked by trainers during the GO Fest 2021. We will show you what new quests await you during this event and which dazzling Pokémon you can encounter.
What is it about? During the GO Fest 2021, trainers had the opportunity to complete global challenges together. As a reward, they unlocked a total of three Hyperbonus events, the first of which starts now. We will show you which new Shinies and field research tasks the event brings.
When does it start? The first Hyperbonus started today, July 23, 2021, at 10:00 AM local time and ends on August 3, 2021, at 8:00 PM local time. So you have plenty of time to secure the event-related quests or go on a shiny hunt.
These are the new field research tasks for the 1st Hyperbonus
For the duration of the first Hyperbonus event, there will be 5 new quests in Pokémon GO. We took a look at what field research tasks these are and what rewards you will receive, with the help of Leekduck’s overview (via leekduck.com).

The following Shinies await you during the 1st Hyperbonus
During the first Hyperbonus, you can look forward to numerous Shinies alongside new field research tasks. You will receive them both in the wild and in raids, as well as through hatching eggs.
These spawns will be available
Especially in the wild, you can look forward to new spawns during the Hyperbonus event. With a bit of luck, you may also encounter them in their shiny form. We will show you which monsters are waiting for you in the coming days:
- Magnemite
- Voltorb
- Porygon
- Omanyte
- Kabuto
- Wailmer
- Lileep
- Anorith
- Tanneh
- Koknodon
- Schilterus
While some of these monsters have been available in their shiny variant in the game for a while, Schilterus and Koknodon were only recently introduced as Shinies. As seen in the following image, this variant differs significantly from the respective normal form.
By the way: Especially Omanyte, Kabuto, Anorith, and Lileep could be interesting for some players. These Pokémon are part of the Special Research “More about Meltan”, but the monsters can only be found sporadically in the game. Anyone who still needs to complete this task should take advantage of the opportunity during the Hyperbonus.
Pokémon from Eggs
New monsters are also waiting for you in the 7 km eggs during the event period. These are also available in their shiny form in the game:

Dazzling Raid Bosses with Dialga
New boss in Level-5 raid: During the first Hyperbonus event, the legendary Steel and Dragon Pokémon Dialga will also be available in Level-5 raids. This will also be catchable in its shiny variant for the first time. It is one of the best attackers in Pokémon GO.
Other raid bosses: There will also be changes to the raid bosses in Level-1 and Level-3 raids during the event period. You can expect the following monsters there

With a bit of luck, you might also encounter one or another shiny specimen. Those marked with (*) are available as Shiny.
