What kind of event is this? Since January 19, 2022, the power plant event has been taking place in Pokémon GO, where the story continues around the locked door discovered by Professor Willow and the team leaders.
But Team GO Rocket is also interested in what lies behind the door, which is why today, on January 24, 2022, the second related event part has started. This brings you, alongside one or other new bonuses and the change of raid bosses, new content in the 12-km eggs and special event quests.
When does the second part of the power plant event take place? The second part of the power plant event called “Team GO Rocket strikes!” started on January 24, 2022, at 12:00 AM local time. You have until January 30, 2022, at 10:00 AM local time to take advantage of all the features of this event section.
All quests for the 2nd part of the power plant event
As you know from previous events in Pokémon GO, there are also new quests and rewards for the event part with Team GO Rocket. Furthermore, the research tasks from the first section of the power plant event have also been retained.

All new content from 12-km eggs
Those who battle the Rocket bosses Arlo, Sierra, Cliff, or Giovanni will receive a 12-km egg as a reward after the fight. These eggs can only be obtained from Team GO Rocket and partly contain Pokémon that cannot be caught anywhere else in the game.
As trainer Mrblakey29 shows in his reddit post, this Pokémon pool has now changed with the start of the Rocket event part.
From now on, you can look forward to the following Pokémon from 12-km eggs:
- Gladiantri
- Larvitar
- Zurrokex
- Skallyk
- Ganovil
- Pam-Pam
- Absol
- Kapuno
- Pionskora
- Algitt
- Iscalar
Note that the eggs you received from Team GO Rocket before the start of the current event part will also still hatch the previous Pokémon. Therefore, the change only affects the eggs you receive from the Rocket bosses as rewards from today.
