Starting today, June 17, 2021, the Solstice Event is taking place in Pokémon GO. This brings not only numerous Pokémon but also great bonuses, exciting quests, and new raid bosses. We’ve summarized all the information for you.
How long does the event last? The Solstice Event in Pokémon GO starts today, June 17, 2021, at 10:00 AM and ends on June 20, 2021, at 8:00 PM. During this time, you have the opportunity to take advantage of all event-related bonuses.
New Field Research Tasks, Raid Bosses, Spawns, and Bonuses
As you are used to from past events in Pokémon GO, there will again be event-related Pokémon to catch. Additionally, you can expect special field research tasks, new raid bosses, and some bonuses. We took a look at these and summarized everything important for you.
These are the new field research tasks

For the quest “Catch 10 Pokémon,” the reward is supposed to be a Swablu. However, according to Niantic, this Pokémon can only be found in the Southern Hemisphere during the event. Whether there will be another reward for this or whether you won’t find this quest here at all is currently unknown. As soon as we have confirmed information about this, we will add it.
In addition to these 8 new field studies, there are also reports from Reddit user SilphScience about 3 additional quests (via reddit.com). For the first two, the reward is one silver Razz Berry each. For the field research related to the raid, you can hope for 2 silver Razz Berries.

Spawns and Bonuses for the Solstice Event in Pokémon GO
Which Pokémon will spawn? During the event, in addition to exciting field research tasks and new raid bosses, you can expect numerous wild Pokémon. You can encounter Sunkern, Lunatone, Seel, Snorlax, Yanma, Pansear, or a summer Fletchling.
Keep in mind when catching that after the event, you will only encounter Lunatone in our region. Sunkern will then only be found exclusively in the Western Hemisphere.
Look forward to these bonuses: The bonuses for this event mainly revolve around your buddy Pokémon. During the duration of the Solstice Event, your buddy will bring more Pokéballs and items. Additionally, the kilometers needed for one heart with your buddy are cut in half. A surprise awaits you when taking snapshots.
