What tasks are involved? In Pokémon GO, you can spin specific quests every day at the PokéStops, which bring you various rewards. The content changes every month. With the start of October, you will now find new tasks and rewards in the so-called field research again. We will show you what they are.
Field Research October 2022 – All Tasks & Rewards
In October, you can get numerous different field researches again at the PokéStops. All you have to do is spin the photo disc of the PokéStop. After that, the task will be credited to your “Field” view and you will have unlimited time to complete it.

This category revolves around catching. The following tasks and rewards await you:

Which encounters are particularly worthwhile in October 2022?
Kaumalat: One of the most interesting encounters of these research tasks is Kaumalat. The Dragon and Ground Pokémon has a strong evolution in Knakrack. Knakrack can score with a high attack value and strong Dragon and Ground movesets, which is why it is one of the best attackers in Pokémon GO.
Normally, Kaumalat is relatively rare in the game. Those who missed the Community Day in June 2021 can try to secure a strong specimen this way. To get it, you need to achieve 3 fabulous throws in a row. That’s not so easy, but still doable. With a bit of luck, you might even encounter a Shiny.
Trasla: The Psychic and Fairy Pokémon Trasla has two strong evolutions: Galagladi and Guardevoir. Both are also among the best attackers in Pokémon GO. In contrast to Kaumalat, Trasla is much more frequently found in the game.
If you are still looking for a strong specimen for your collection, you should secure the task “Spin 5 PokéStops or gyms”. This task is quickly and easily completed. With some luck, a shiny specimen might even appear to you.
Tanhel: If you complete the task “Hatch 2 eggs,” you will encounter a Tanhel as a reward. This Steel and Psychic Pokémon from Generation 3 can evolve into Metang and then into Metagross, which belongs to the best Steel attackers in Pokémon GO. This Pokémon can also be found as a Shiny in the game.
Karpador: Another strong Pokémon is the evolution of Karpador. Garados can convince as one of the best Water attackers in Pokémon GO. Additionally, it has a Mega Evolution that is even stronger.
But Karpador can also help you with the “Angler” medal. You need to catch a total of 1,000 large specimens to secure the platinum badge. Completing the task is relatively easy, as you only have to catch 7 Pokémon. With some luck, you might even secure a shiny.

Pandir: A monster that is not particularly strong but should not be missing from your collection is Pandir. This small monster from Generation 3 can only be found in research tasks, except for some rare events.
Since it has 9 different fur patterns that you can catch in their shiny forms, it is particularly interesting for collectors and shiny hunters. If you are still missing Fur Pattern 4 in your Pokédex, you should take your chance in October. However, the task is quite difficult, as it requires 5 great curveball throws.
